Royal fans noticed that Princess Charlotte seems to already have a knack for remaining calm and composed, even at the young age of 9. In a video that recently started circulating again, Princess Charlotte bumped heads with her younger brother, Prince Louis. Though she appeared a bit frustrated at first, she quickly carried on as if nothing happened.
The incident happened during Trooping the Colour.
Though it occurred a couple of years ago, clips of the humorous interaction recently started circulating again on social media, per Newsweek. According to the publication, the videos are from King Charles’ 2023 birthday parade. The clips show Princess Charlotte leaning down at the same time Prince Louis suddenly turned around.
They bumped heads, and it honestly looked painful.
Charlotte appeared to be a bit upset or confused at first. Can you blame her? One person who shared a clip of the incident captioned Charlotte’s initial facial expression with “contemplating.” But then she turned around and “decided to act like nothing happened.” Later, she could be seen rubbing her head, likely because of the pain from the unexpected collision. Ouch.
Royal fans reacted to the video, calling Charlotte ‘poised.’

They were impressed by how well Charlotte handled the incident. “What a strong, brave little girl! I would’ve been [bawling]!” one person wrote.
Another person commented, “bless her heart omg that is so grown up what she did wow.”
Others noted how it seemed like such a normal sibling moment. “so funny because kids will be kids 😂 I just love this family,” one fan commented.
“I can relate for having been raised with 4 brothers,” another person wrote.
Other sweet sibling moments have also gone viral.
Princess Charlotte has a reputation for keeping her brothers in line. In 2023, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and Prince George volunteered at the 3rd Upton Scout Group with their parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton. A volunteer told People that Charlotte was “advising” Louis, saying things like, “Don’t do that, Louis!”
Then, in 2024 at Trooping the Colour, Charlotte took on a similar role. Per People, she appeared to tell her brother how to hold his arms during the national anthem and seemingly told him to stop dancing at another point during the event.
She has also helped her older brother follow royal protocol. As the Mirror reported, during the late Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in 2022, Princess Charlotte appeared to remind Prince George when he needed to bow.
