Teen Mom star Ryan Edwards has been in a lot of trouble with the law over the years and now it’s his wife’s turn. On May 24, news broke that Amanda Conner had been arrested on charges related to driving under the influence and child abuse, and there’s been major drama with Ryan since then. Amanda has been released from jail and is speaking out, and according to her, her life has been going downhill for a while now.
Amanda was arrested on Sunday morning.
Multiple outlets including TMZ reported that Amanda was arrested in Chattanooga and charged with driving under the influence and child abuse/neglect. She allegedly had Presley, the 15-month-old daughter she shares with Ryan, in the car at the time of her arrest. According to the outlet, Ryan called 911 to report that his wife left with their baby in the car and he suspected she was taking narcotics and refused to take a drug test, though Amanda and Presley weren’t mentioned by name on the call.
Amanda was released on a $16,000 bond, and as part of the conditions of her arrest, she is unable to have contact with the victim who was in the car with her or the person acting as her guardian in the meantime.
She admitted that she has “relapsed” in a TikTok video.

Days later, Amanda took to TikTok to share that she had “relapsed.”
“After three years of me busting my ass and getting my life together, I relapsed,” she said. “I think I got too comfortable, let my guard down and it happened. I do know addiction does not care how long you’ve been clean, how much you’ve built, it doesn’t care how many people believed in you, it doesn’t care about none of that.”
She went on to say that she’s back on the journey of recovery as she faces the “consequences” of her arrest.
“We’re not going to give up, we’re going to fight and we’re going to get back on track. So with that said, we’re going to get ready to go meet the lawyer, so stay tuned,” she added.
Amanda also called the police on Ryan after she was released from jail.
The Ashley’s Reality Roundup reported that, a day after Amanda was arrested, she called the police saying that she “wants to get her belongings from her husband, stating that he has a history of physical abuse towards [her].”
It’s not clear what the outcome of that call was, other than the fact that Ryan was not arrested as a result. While this appears to be the first time that Amanda has accused Ryan of physical abuse, his ex-wife, Mackenzie Standifer, has accused him of assault before, including in a 2024 911 call when she claimed that he “tried to stab” her.
