Ryan shared a mirror selfie on Instagram.

In the photo, Ryan's posing for the camera with a rather serious look on his face (and a toothpick sticking out of his mouth) while wearing sunglasses.

"Officially the longest I’ve gone since I was a teen without some kind of nicotine or marijuana in my system(among other things …)," he wrote.

He went on to reflect on how positive this change has been in his life.

He continued, "Feeling thankful for the freedom that comes with breaking addictions and dependency on substance. Sobriety, clarity, and spiritual connectedness feels real good."

So far, the post has received more than 113,000 likes, and he's getting all kinds of support in the comments from fans who are cheering him on.

He admitted that he's picked up new habits along the way.

Sharing the post in his Instagram Stories, Ryan joked, "my only remaining addictions are toothpicks and self-improvement."

No surprise that he would mention the toothpick; Ryan got more than a few comments about the one in his mouth in the photo!

"Now u gotta quit toothpicks!" one person joked.

It hasn't been an easy journey for Ryan.

In fact, last year, there were rumors that ex-wife Reese Witherspoon wanted nothing to do with Ryan after she was called to testify when Ryan's ex, Elsie Hewitt, accused him of domestic violence.

"Reese and Ryan maintained a civil relationship when they were making decisions about their children — but that's gone now," an insider told Radar Online at the time. "Reese still sees Ryan's life is messy, and she doesn't want to be drawn into it. She doesn't care for him — or see the need to be buddies."

It's good to see Ryan doing better these days.

He seems to be both healthier and happier — sobriety certainly looks good on the Cruel Intentions star.

Here's hoping things only continue to get better for Ryan from here and that he continues to celebrate these wins along the way.
