Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively Score Major Windfall From Billion-Dollar Sale of His Company

It's a good day to be Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. The duo stand to rake in a pretty pile of cash after T-Mobile purchased Mint Mobile, the cellphone company Ryan was heavily invested in. And with more than $1 billion coming out of the sale, Ryan's portion is pretty sizable.

Ryan shared the news of the sale of his company on Twitter.

The father of four posted about the acquisition on Twitter, writing about how excited he was about the news. "I never dreamt I'd own a wireless company and I certainly never dreamt I'd sell it to T-Mobile," he wrote in a thread about the sale. "Life is strange and I'm incredibly proud and grateful."

Later that day, he seemed to be all smiles while out on a stroll with Blake.

The pair bundled up and cruised around New York City for a bit shortly after the news broke. The Daily Mail reported that the corporate acquisition was part of a cash-and-stock deal, hence the hefty price tag, and left Ryan with about $300 million for himself.

This isn't the only business savvy move the actor has made recently. In fact, Ryan's portfolio has gotten pretty big over the years.

Ryan has been behind some pretty notable business deals.

Casual fans may only know Ryan for his movies and charming sense of humor, but behind those rugged good looks he's hiding a massive business portfolio.

As the Daily Mail pointed out, Ryan's made plenty of smart investments over the years, including investing in Wealthsimple, 1Password, and Aviation American Gin, all of which have a total value in the billions.

This is perfect timing for the new parents.

Blake and Ryan recently welcomed their fourth child, who joined 8-year-old James, 6-year-old Inez, and 3-year-old Betty. The couple hasn't shared any details, but the news was pretty obvious after Blake shared a photo of herself without a bump over Super Bowl weekend last month.

That Mint Mobile deal really came at the right time.

Kids are expensive, so we're sure the new parents are over the moon that they won't ever have to worry about how they will manage to pay for all the little Reynolds-Lively children … not that they had to before, of course.

Congrats to Ryan on the big sale and the continued success. With all these big wins, he can probably afford to leave acting behind full time if he wants to (not that we'd ever want that to happen).
