But even though Nicole is reportedly happy in her new romance, behind her back, her friends are hoping it doesn’t last.

In July, Nicole was spotted on vacation in Italy with an investor named Michael Reinstein, but even though the romance is new, a source told Woman’s Day that they’ve actually known each other for a while.
“Nicole and Michael first crossed paths at a pre-Oscars dinner in March, and started secretly seeing each other soon after,” the insider said, adding, “There’s no doubt this is a serious relationship because her inner circle has closed ranks and he’s had all his online presence removed by professionals.”
Sandra thinks Michael is a little too similar to her ex-husband.
Now that things are getting more serious between Michael and Nicole, her good friend and costar, Sandra Bullock, is feeling nervous about the relationship because she sees the “same type of swagger” that her ex, Jesse, had before their marriage came to an end in 2010 after a cheating scandal.
A friend of Nicole’s claims that Sandra isn’t the only one in her circle of friends who is apprehensive about their romance, especially since Michael was once involved in a lawsuit brought by a former employee. Secretly, Nicole’s friends are hoping Michael is simply a “rebound” and that their relationship will run its course.
“It’s hard to imagine this will last very long at all, but Nicole can be stubborn and the more flaws that are pointed out to her, the more she’s digging her heels in,” the source said.
Her friends are worried, but her daughters seem to approve.
Sunday and Faith are reportedly on board with their mom’s new boyfriend, though the insider says they probably aren’t going to be the ones to see Michael’s flaws when they finally show.
“They’re happy to see her so happy, but they’re falling under Michael’s spell too,” they said. “They have the same romanticized view of the world as their mum. This means all three of them are ignoring any potential problems with the relationship.”
But for now, Nicole is “having a ton of fun,” unlike when she was with “miserable, brooding Keith.”
“No one’s seen her smile like this in years,” the source added. “He’s incredibly charming and funny as hell – they already have a secret language between them.”
Guess we’ll see what the future holds, but hopefully, Nicole is keeping herself safe in case things do go south.
