Savannah Chrisley Hits Back at Accusations Mom Julie ‘Faked’ Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Just weeks after her parents were pardoned by President Donald Trump and released from prison, Savannah Chrisley is finally tackling a controversy involving her family that has come up more than once over the years. During this week’s episode of her Unlocked podcast, Savannah clapped back at those who have accused her mom, Julie, of “faking” her breast cancer diagnosis.

The rumors recently came up again and caught Savannah’s attention.

On the podcast, Savannah said that while getting her coffee that morning, she’d noticed that someone on social media had said “that my family was this fraud and we’re terrible human beings XYZ, and how my mother faked her breast cancer diagnosis.”

“Apparently, she faked her breast cancer diagnosis to avoid court proceedings was what this individual said,” Savannah added.

As she pointed out, the timeline simply doesn’t match up.

Savannah was quick to point out that her mom had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, so it wouldn’t have made sense for her to use it as an excuse to get out of the trial – and obviously, we know Julie went to trial anyway.

“[My parents] weren’t federally or criminally charged until 2019, so that right there completely debunks your whole theory,” she said on the podcast.

Her breast cancer battle wasn’t easy.

Considering how difficult her mom’s fight against breast cancer had been – including going through early menopause and having multiple “reconstructive surgeries” – Savannah was all the more disgusted that anyone would accuse her of faking it.

“For someone to make an accusation that my mother lied about having breast cancer at the age of 39, there truly is a special place in hell for you,” she said. “It’s that simple. There’s a special place in hell for you, and I hope you feel good about yourself.”

This episode was filmed before Savannah’s parents were released.

It sounds like this rumor surfaced before news broke that Todd and Julie would be freed, because Savannah explained on Instagram that this week’s podcast episode was the last one she recorded before she found out her parents would be coming home.

“Oh, and don’t think just because they’re out, I’m gonna start going easy on y’all,” she added. “Whoever says anything about my mama …. there’s a special place for you, and I’ve heard it’s quite toasty down there.”
