Savannah Chrisley Says She’ll ‘Never Forget’ Her Parents’ Reaction to Prison Sentences

A grief-stricken Savannah Chrisley is opening up about what went down in the courtroom when her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley learned their legal fate. It sounds like the Chrisley Knows Best stars were all caught off guard by the guilty verdict, making for a devastating afternoon for the Chrisleys — and a moment that their daughter will never forget.

Savannah recently talked about the life-changing moment.

While chatting with former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe on her Off The Vine podcast, 25-year-old Savannah explained how nobody saw Todd and Julie's guilty verdicts coming the afternoon she and the rest of her family found out their fate.

"I will never forget the moment, sitting in that courtroom every day, a four-week trial," she recalled during the lengthy interview where she discussed her parents' court case, including multiple immunity deals she claimed were signed in the process.

It took three days of jury deliberation to find her parents guilty.

Theory has it that a quick deliberation is a sign that someone is going to be found guilty, but the Chrisleys learned that sometimes the opposite can be true.

"I will never forget when they stood up to read the verdicts and it was like, guilty, guilty, guilty, like over and over and over again," she continued.

Todd and Julie were found guilty of fraud and tax evasion and sentenced to a combined 19 years behind bars.

It sounds like the shock of the verdict was too much for some of them.

Savannah will always remember the gut-wrenching reaction everyone had to the news. "And I just saw the looks on my parents' faces and just everything, they were just in tears," she continued. "We were not expecting that, we were like, 'There's no way.'"

Now, she hopes the family will get a different response when they finally get before a judge for an appeal, a process that is expected to start in March.

The Chrisleys may soon find themselves in a different courtroom.

There are more legal woes on the horizon for the Chrisley Knows Best family. Page Six has revealed that Todd's oldest son Kyle Chrisley was arrested in Tennessee and booked on Tuesday on charges for aggravated assault.

He's currently out on bond but expected to return to court on March 20 for allegedly brandishing a knife during an incident with his boss.

Kyle's wife denies any such thing happened, and instead blames her husbands PTSD for everything that went down.

Kyle is the father of the 10-year-old niece Savannah has been left to raise.

With their parents away, Savannah has been tasked with raising her 16-year-old brother Grayson and 10-year-old Chloe, the niece that her parents had adopted.

It's no wonder the 25-year-old is having such a hard time moving past her parents’ conviction. Hopefully things start to get easier for all of them as more time passes and they all get used to their new situation.
