It’s been a little over a year since Scott Wolf’s wife, Kelley, was arrested on Instagram Live after sharing the news that she and Scott had split up, and she’s sharing a lengthy apology.
After admitting that she put Scott through a “nightmare,” Kelly revealed that she had been suffering from “breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis” that led to her lashing out against him publicly. And now, Scott has responded.
Last year was a difficult one for Scott and Kelley’s family.
Days after Kelley revealed that she and Scott were splitting up, she began sharing concerning posts on Instagram which led to her being detained by police while she was streaming on Instagram Live from a resort in Sundance, Utah in June 2025.
In August, Kelley was arrested for doxxing Scott when she shared his phone number online, which ultimately led to him being granted sole temporary custody of the couple’s four children. Kelley then entered a rehab center the following month, though in December, it seemed like the situation may have been improving for the family when Scott dropped the restraining order he had been given against his estranged wife, as People reported at the time.
Kelley took to Instagram to explain what happened.
In the year since these incidents unfolded, Kelley has remained pretty quiet on social media, but on Friday, she shared an 11-slide post on Instagram explaining the situation and apologizing to her family, including Scott.
“What I experienced was diagnosed as breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis —which means it had never happened before, and I pray never again — caused by stress, past trauma, hormonal shifts, and hallucinogens mixed with prescribed medications. A perfect storm,” she wrote.
She felt that her brain had “turned” on her, and it caused her to experience delusions, including that she was “in the CIA and that I was running for president.”
She included an apology to Scott.
“I am so sorry. My husband of twenty years was taken through a nightmare that wouldn’t even fly in a movie script; it was so brutal,” Kelley wrote. “The things I did, said, wrote, and posted caused profound harm and were not based in truth or reality. And they caused pain 1 could never imagine to the people I love the most.”
In a slide that was written directly to Scott and their kids, she continued, “You never gave up on me, and you fought like hell until you landed me in safe harbor. I owe you my life.”
Scott has responded.
Scott has kept his response to Kelley’s post short and sweet, simply commenting with five red hearts.
The apology comes after the family shared their first photo together since Kelley’s hospitalization, when they gathered for a trip to Universal Studios together.
“Healing. 💙💙💙💙💙 Thank you @unistudios for an epic day at the park! So much fun!” Scott and Kelley each wrote in their captions on the post.
After what must have been a terrifying several months, it’s good to hear that Kelley is doing better.
