When it comes to making a surprise pregnancy announcement, celebrities always knock it out of the park (hello, Kylie Jenner). But when it comes to using a high-profile event to unveil baby news, nobody has done it quite like A-listers Serena Williams and Karlie Kloss, who both used Monday night's Met Gala to let the world know they're expanding their families.

Serena dropped her big news with her husband by her side.
Serena, who later joked on Instagram that Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour "invited the three of us" to this year's Met Gala, was glowing as she showed up to the event on the arm of her husband, Alexis Ohanian, while proudly showing off her baby bump. This pregnancy reveal was markedly different from the one she did while expecting daughter Olympia five years ago, when the tennis legend accidentally shared a photo of her baby bump on Snapchat.
This might explain Serena's decision to step away from tennis.
The 41-year-old recently retired from the sport, and she offered a little insight into her decision in a personal essay published by Vogue, explaining that she was ending her career in order to prioritize her family.
"I never wanted to have to choose between tennis and a family," she wrote. "I don't think it's fair. If I were a guy, I wouldn't be writing this because I'd be out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor of expanding our family."
Second-time mom Karlie also broke baby news at the gala.
The model used the fashionable event as an opportunity to reveal her growing belly just like Serena did. Karlie and husband Josh Kushner are also expanding their family with a new bundle of joy after welcoming their first child, son Levi, in March 2021. Karlie captioned a photo taken before she headed out to the gala, "Baby's first Met."
We also had a chance to see another expectant mama in all her glory.
After getting their very first glimpse of Rihanna's growing belly at the Super Bowl in February, fans had a chance to see the fashion maven dress up her bump again, this time as her partner, A$AP Rocky, stood by her side on the iconic Met staircase.
Rihanna opened up about what it's like expecting baby No. 2 while chatting with Entertainment Tonight. "It's so different from the first one," she explained. "No cravings. Tons of nausea. Everything's different, but I'm enjoying it."

It's clear the ladies are feeling fantastic.
Based on how everyone looked and what Rihanna had to say — she gushed about how great she's been feeling, saying "I feel energetic" while talking to Rachel Smith — it's clear that second pregnancies suit all of these soon-to-be moms of two.
Hopefully we'll get to see a lot more of these growing bumps before Serena, Karlie, and Rihanna welcome their new babies.
