There has been so much drama around the Brown family, famous for their TLC reality TV show Sister Wives. Fans have been watching Kody Brown deal with the breakdown of three out of his four marriages over the past few seasons.
As the newest season is set to air, Brown hints that he’s still hopeful he can mend things with one of his wives.
Sitting down with People, Brown admitted that he’s hopeful that he can still save one of his relationships.
“I'm still looking for reconciliation with Janelle,” he said.
Janelle announced her separation from Brown at the end of 2022.
The two share six children together – Logan, 29, Madison 27, Hunter, 26, Garrison, 25, Gabriel, 21, and Savanah, 18 – but it sounds like she’s pretty firm in her decision, according to Brown.
“I won't say she's been wishy-washy about the departure,” he said. “But I keep thinking, ‘This isn't a reason for us to break up. We can work through this. We can find trust again and negotiate an agreement on that trust if we'll just work on it.’”
For now, he’s looking to start a new normal with Janelle, however that looks for them.
“I have to find a new normal with Janelle because even if Janelle and I reconcile our marriage, it's still going to be a new normal because it's going to be different from where we've been before,” he shared. “Because how it was working for us didn't seem like it was quite right. It wasn't whole.”
He admitted that he feels right now is “a dark time but I’m moving forward.”
Despite rumors that he might be looking for another wife, he’s good for now.
When asked about the potential to add a new relationship following the end of his three marriages, including his split from Christine Brown in November 2021 and Meri Brown in January 2023, he said that wasn't his goal.
“Any effort I would ever think in that direction would need to be put into my relationship with Janelle,” he said, “and certainly my relationship with Robyn to maintain that relationship as well.”
As for Janelle, it sounds like she’s happy to keep moving forward.
Janelle told People that she “doesn’t have any regrets” about how things unfolded, including the end of her 30-year marriage with Brown.
"We're all settling into the new path,” she added. “There's only possibilities in front of us."
Fan's aren't buying what Brown is saying.

In the Reddit community SisterWives, fans of the show don't think Brown is being sincere in his hopes to reconcile.
"Wants to reconcile with Janelle's money," one person wrote. "There, I fixed it for you."
"From a financial perspective he burned every wife that brought in any source of income and he regrets losing three streams of revenue," another commenter wrote.
"He’s in love with her money. That’s all," wrote someone else.
But there are some who think there could be a possibility for the two to get back together.
"I actually think the only one that would reconcile with Kody is Janelle," wrote one person. "She mentioned in the interview that she did that she still wants to be in a plural marriage. She also mentioned that a big factor in her past relationship issues was Meri."
Season 18 of Sister Wives premieres Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
