Fans of Sister Wives know that the past season has been a bumpy ride for the reality TV family. As Christine Brown adjusted to life as a single woman, Jenelle and Meri both decided that the time had come to walk away from their marriage to Kody — and in the meantime, his relationship with the children he shares with his three former wives really took a hit. And now, daughter Mykelti Brown is speaking out about her relationship with her dad, getting so emotional in the process that she had to end the video before she was done speaking.

Kody's relationship with his children has been tense at best.
The tension has been brewing for years at this point, but it all seemed to come to a head when Kody chose to isolate with Robyn during the beginning of the pandemic, spending more time with their children than the ones he shares with Christine, Jenelle, and Meri.
Things snowballed from there, and now we know there are certain adult children who Kody is no longer on speaking terms with. Judging by what he's said on the show, it doesn't appear he's willing to fold and make amends anytime soon.
Despite the drama, Mykelti has remained close with Robyn and Kody.
With all of the ups and downs the past few years have brought — and Kody's less-than-amicable split from her mom, Christine, who was the first wife to leave — Mykelti has maintained a pretty neutral stance in all of this. It seems as if she's still in regular communication with Kody, and she has been as close with Robyn as she's always been.
Mykelti is opening up about her relationship with her dad.
In a video she shared with her Patreon followers (which was later posted on vlogger Katie Joy's "Without a Crystal Ball" Instagram account) Mykelti admitted that although she might be seen as "naive," she wanted to look at her relationship with her dad as positively as possible.
"Who he is on the show, he's not the same person to me," she said. "He was not as kind as he is now growing up. He's kind to me. He's good to me."

She admitted that she does wish her dad was 'better to my siblings.'
Though Mykelti was already becoming emotional while talking about her dad, at this point, the tears really started flowing, showing just how strongly she feels about the ongoing feud between her siblings and Kody.
"I wish that he was more respectful. I wish that he showed his love more. I wish he was more graceful like my moms," she shared. "But ultimately, I'm happy that I at least have something, because growing up, I didn't."
Eventually, Mykelti became so emotional she had to stop recording.
After she became too emotional to continue talking, she abruptly stopped the video and changed the subject.
It appears this is truly a difficult time for everyone in the Brown family, and it's especially heartbreaking to see how Kody's kids are suffering. Here's hoping they're all able to come to some kind of resolution soon.
