‘Sister Wives’ Star Kody Brown Reveals If He Plans to Add Another Wife to His Marriage With Robyn

Now that the dust has settled after Kody Brown‘s split from three of his four wives, are he and Robyn getting ready to make their marriage plural again? On Sunday’s Sister Wives premiere, Kody finally revealed if he plans to add another wife to the family, and the discussion with his last remaining wife may not have gone quite the way he expected.

Robyn and Kody have been living monogamously for the past few years.

Christine was the first wife to leave Kody, followed by Janelle and Meri. By January 2023, the previously plural family was just down to Robyn and Kody, and it’s been that way ever since. But will that ever change?

On Sister Wives, the topic came up when Kody said a relative had mentioned it to Robyn. “I don’t know what space Robyn is in, and I don’t know what space we’ll be in in two or three years,” he told the TLC cameras. “I almost feel like turning the table and saying, ‘Well, do you want to get back in plural marriage?'”

Robyn would still want to live her ideal of plural marriage — if she could be guaranteed she’d get it.

Living in plural marriage has always been important to Robyn; that was a big part of the reason she married Kody in the first place. But she said that taking the risk and adding someone new to the family would only be worth it to her under certain circumstances.

“[If] there was somebody who was really supportive and really wanted to work and really wanted a relationship with me as well as with you, not just you, and then we had a guarantee that it was going to be okay and it was going to be wonderful and it was going to be what I always dreamed it was supposed to be, that would be something to really, truly consider,” Robyn admitted.

Meanwhile, Kody was only interested if he could find someone “good looking” enough to add to the marriage.

“My primary motivation, I’m afraid at this state in my life, would be … yeah, just how good looking she is. I’m not kidding,” Kody said.

Of course, this earned him a lot of side eye from Robyn, who called sex “the very worst reason” to add a new wife to the family.

Fortunately, in the end, Kody seemed to agree, saying, “She would have to adore Robyn so much that I would never, ever have to worry about whether she was competing with Robyn for my love and affection.”

They’re officially leaving the polygamous life in the past.

Ultimately, Kody said that he’s not interested in “having the drama in my life of another woman,” and he and Robyn had decided to remain monogamous indefinitely.

“So, it’s you and me, baby. Monogamy, does it work for you? Will it work for you?” Kody said to Robyn, who happily agreed.

Of course, these two may change their minds sometime down the line … but for now, it sounds like they’re happy keeping their marriage between just the two of them.
