Stephen Nedoroscik got some cute advice from his girlfriend during their date night to the 2024 Emmys. The moment when the 25-year-old Olympian whipped off his glasses for their E! red carpet Glambot debut was inspired by his partner, Tess McCracken. She stood beside him and blew a kiss at the camera while he posed in a tuxedo. Speaking with E! News after the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars, he opened up about the fashionable moment.

His girlfriend encouraged the signature move.
“Me and Tess got to walk the red carpet, we did the Glambot,” he said in an exclusive interview with E! News. “I was like, ‘What do I do?’ She’s like, ‘Take your glasses off!’” So he did.
“She loved it,” Stephen continued. “She was like, ‘There’s that guy. And that guy.’ It was so fun.”

That wasn't the only highlight of his night.
Stephen also joined fellow Olympians Ilona Maher, Caeleb Dressel, and Ezra French on stage to present the award for Outstanding Direction of a Drama Series.
“It was so cool,” he recalled. “And I was so lucky Ilona was there, cause I was like, ‘Ilona, I’m freaking out.’ And she was like, ‘All you have to do is walk.’ But it was such an amazing experience.”
Who is Stephen's girlfriend?
Stephen and his longtime girlfriend met in 2016 when they were both starting their freshman years at Pennsylvania State University.
“He was a gymnast for the Penn State men’s team, and I was on the Penn State women’s gymnastics team, so we were in athlete orientation together,” Tess told Today.com. They started dating, and although Tess no longer does gymnastics, she has continued to support Stephen in his career.
They recently celebrated eight years together.
Stephen and Tess celebrated eight years together on July 4. “What a lucky man I am to have you by my side throughout this journey,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “I cant imagine where I’d be without you supporting me everyday. Happy 8 years Tess, I love you ❤️.”
