What to Know
You can cut calories, get rid of carbs, and go to the gym all you want. But sometimes, it’s the sugar that really gets you while trying to live a healthier lifestyle. So when a fitness influencer creator by the name of Caroline Dobbs posted a video on TikTok detailing her journey of cutting sweets for 14 days, her results were hard to ignore.
But cutting out sugar for that long did not come without its struggles for the influencer. She details every day of her journey, from steering clear from even being in the vicinity of candy to straight up drooling at the glass case in a bakery. OK, well maybe not drooling, but you can see the regret in her face as she looks at an over-sized croissant-type pastry. But hey, the results were pretty legit after the two weeks without sugar.
She tried to cut sugar before, but this window of time was longer.

Counting calories is enough of a lifestyle change for some people to have a hard time adjusting to. And, luckily, Caroline doesn’t say in her video that she plans to cut out sweets and sugar permanently. For her, the challenge means not giving in to cravings or temptations. And even though she did it before, this time, the two week span was longer than usual.
She shares a small update for every day of the full two weeks. On the final day, which happens to be Easter, she finally rel’ents and treats herself to some Peeps and other sugarly treats. Why Peeps would be the sugar fast breaker I will never understand, because…Peeps?? But by this point, Caroline has gone the full two weeks without sweets.
“Day 13 no sugar, honestly doing okay as long as there’s no sugar around me anytime at all during the day,” she says during her second to last day. And, on her final day, she shares, “Day 14 no sugar. I made it two weeks, and it’s Easter today and there are Peeps on the counter and we’re gonna have cinnamon rolls so I will be breaking my sugar today.”
Her results are visible in her video.

But just because Caroline makes it through the two week period, it doesn’t mean it’s easy for her. Though the results might be more than worth it. For Caroline, it’s not even necessarily any weight loss results from cutting sweets, but the fast resulted in visible changes that people commented on her video to commend her for.
“Girl your skin has cleared so much,” someone commented on the TikTok.
And, after someone joked that they saw “the light” leave Caroline’s eyes, another user responded to that comment with, “Idk I saw the acne leave her skin so.”
Someone shared a similar sentiment with, “Bby your skin cleared up.”
Really, that does seem to be the biggest upside of Caroline going on her sugar cleanse of sorts. It doesn’t mean she is off sugar for good, though, because she absolutely celebrates with some Easter treats. But the results are clearly legitimate by the end of her video.
People joked about how long they would be able to quit sugar.

Maybe Caroline can share some of that willpower with the rest of us, because, uh, two weeks? 14 actual days? Without sugar from sweet treats? For some, it’s a bit unfathomable.
One person joked, “I cut all added sugars and saturated fats for over a year. People swore the cravings would eventually subside and ‘you’ll realize how gross it is!’ Not a day went by that I didn’t think about dessert. Anyway, I’m back to eating garbage.”
A TikToker also commented, “See for me no food is easier than no sugar. If I can’t have something sweet I’d rather not eat.
“First thought: I couldn’t do this,” another person wrote. “2nd thought: I wouldn’t want to do this. 3rd thought: I should do this (but I won’t).”
