Many fans have noticed that Tarek El Moussa seems to have a type. The HGTV star and his current wife, Heather El Moussa, compete against Tarek’s ex-wife Christina Haack on The Flip Off, and for many fans of the show, the resemblance between Heather and Christina is obvious. While Christina has denied that she and Heather look alike, Tarek recently admitted that he accidentally called Heather by his ex-wife’s name before.

‘I’m lucky to be alive,’ Tarek said.
In a promotional clip for The Flip Off, a contractor named Bryan accidentally referred to Heather as “Christina” instead. Catching Bryan in the act, Tarek admitted that he’s made that same mistake before. Yikes.
Tarek and Christina tied the knot in 2009 and finalized their divorce in 2018. In 2021, Tarek married his current wife Heather.
In the promotional video, Tarek could be heard saying, “What did Bryan just call you, honey?” “Christina,” Heather responded. Tarek then confronted Bryan about the awkward incident. “What did you call her?” Tarek asked. “One more time — say it for us.”
“He called me ‘Christina,'” Heather repeated. Tarek admitted that he’s done the same and said he’s “lucky to be alive.”

Tarek claimed he’s only made that particular mistake one time.
However, Bryan didn’t believe him. “I’m sure you’ve done it more than one time,” Bryan said to Tarek. Though Tarek insisted that it truly was “just once,” he also said that it was “more than enough.” Heather clarified that it did not happen recently — it was actually at the beginning of their relationship.
In another promotional clip for the show, Heather and Christina joked about looking alike.
After fans insisted that Tarek clearly has a type, Christina and Heather wore matching outfits in a promotional clip. In the video, Heather said, “Hi, I’m Christina.” Christina said, “I’m Heather.” Looking confused afterward, Heather said, “Wait, no, that’s not right.”
The clip then cut to Tarek, who said, “Well, I guess it is confusing.” Reacting to the video, one fan wrote, “Finally he said what we all said.”
However, Christina said that she and Heather actually don’t really see the resemblance.
They made the video as a joke because of the comments fans have made, but they don’t really see it. Christina told People that she and Heather feel like they don’t really look alike — they just both have blond hair.
“On social media, everyone’s always like, ‘Oh, they look so much alike,’ or ‘Wow, he has a type,’” Christina told said. “Obviously, we are both blond, but we don’t really think that we look alike.”
