What to Know
There is no world in which Taylor Frankie Paul simply fades from obscurity and lives a quiet life. Because, ever since The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star and content creator found some games she has dealt with legal troubles and personal drama. Now, the drama continues, both with former MomTok member Whitney Leavitt and her two exes, Dakota Mortensen and Tate Paul. Taylor shares kids with both men, but after she was filmed throwing a chair at Dakota and that chair appeared to hit one of her kids, Taylor found herself at the center of her biggest controversy so far.
To make matters worse for herself, Taylor has remained on social media and continues to not only post, but also comment, especially when it comes to her former Secret Lives friends and co-stars. There’s also the issue of Utah’s Division of Child and Family Services filing motions against Taylor on behalf of her three kids. It’s a lot, but for Taylor, it’s just another day that ends in ‘y.’
Utah DCFS filed a petition against Taylor Frankie Paul.

According to TMZ, Utah DCFS has filed a petition to have control over the case involving the children that Taylor shares with each of her exes. The department reportedly wants to have an order of protection issued and declare that the children are “abused, neglected or dependent” in regards to Taylor.
The filing also asks that a judge allow a guardian ad litem to be appointed to Taylor’s three children (she shares her youngest with Dakota and her older two children with Tate). Per TMZ, her legal team said in a statement that she is determined to do what is necessary to come to a place where the custody is settled and she is “the healthiest version of herself.”
Before June 2026, Taylor was permitted to visit with her toddler son, Ever, as long as supervision was present. As of June 2026, that order was lifted, according to People. Taylor was also given custody of Ever for one day during the week and every other weekend. In July 2026, Taylor filed for sole custody of her older children with Tate.
Taylor Frankie Paul spoke out against Whitney Leavitt.

Outside of her legal woes, of which there are many, Taylor is dealing with more drama that stems from MomTok. A Secret Lives gossip account on Instagram posted in July 2026 that Taylor and Whitney are no longer following each other on social media. Taylor apparently saw this as an opportunity to comment and sher her thoughts on her former co-star.
“Since she is ‘leaving’ for the 100th time I’ll give my last words about her,” Taylor wrote. “I stuck up for her since the hospital video I bet she doesn’t even recall that. The show I gave her grace against a whole cast MULTIPLE times. She is very successful and I always supported that. Just for her smile and pile on at my lowest. Let’s be honest she’s been waiting for my down fall since day one and she still ain’t gonna get it because she could have everything and still chose not to reach a hand. Bye Whit, cya mid season when you come back.”
Her canceled ‘Bachelorette’ season might still air.

After Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette was filmed and right before it was set to premiere, a video of Taylor and Dakota’s explosive and violent fight in front of at least on of her children was leaked.
ABC pulled the plans to air the season and, it seemed, that was that. Now, however, according to some rumors, the network might air Taylor’s season after all. ABC has not officially announced when The Bachelorette might premiere, but the rumor mill is definitely milling.
