Taylor Swift Shares Details of Travis Kelce Proposal: ‘He Really Crushed It’

Taylor Swift‘s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, is finally out, which means she’s been busy promoting her new music with several interviews … including one that allowed her to get a little personal about Travis Kelce‘s proposal. During her appearance on the UK’s The Graham Norton Show on Friday, Taylor shared details of what happened when Travis popped the question for the very first time.

Fans’ theories about when Travis asked Taylor to marry him were correct.

After finding out that the proposal took place in the backyard of Travis’ house, fans believed that he popped the question the same day she was there recording her episode of New Heights where she announced her new album in August, and Taylor confirmed that theory while chatting with Graham.

“He really crushed it in surprising me,” she said. “While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in.”

She rated it a “10 out of 10.”

“He went all out – 10 out of 10,” Taylor said.

It’s easy to see why she loved the proposal — not only was it intimate and personal, but Travis creating a magical and romantic garden atmosphere to surprise her with really does seem like it was right up her alley.

However, when it comes to wedding planning, it doesn’t sound like these two are in any rush, especially since Taylor is focused on The Life of a Showgirl right now. “I want to do the album stuff first, and the wedding is what happens after in terms of planning. I think it will be fun to plan,” she said.

In another interview, she opened up about her engagement ring.

During her Friday appearance on UK radio show Heart Breakfast, Taylor took the opportunity to brag a bit about her new bling — and how Travis made sure it was exactly the ring she wanted.

“He designed it with this amazing jeweler, Kindred Lubeck. She does all of her gold engraving by hand,” Taylor explained. “I had shown him a video, I just thought her stuff was so cool, I had shown him a video like a year and a half ago and he was just paying attention to everything it turns out because when I saw the ring I [gasped] … I was like, ‘I know who made this, I know who made this,’ and also, you listen to me!”

Taylor added, “It was like, you really know me. I didn’t know what I would want, but he did somehow, and that’s kind of a flex.”
