It’s only Tuesday, but somehow, it’s already been a big week for Taylor Swift fans. After hinting that her twelfth album was on the way in a cryptic Instagram post shared by her official social media team, she also sparked rumors that she’d be appearing on boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s New Heights podcast for the first time ever. And now, not only do fans know that Taylor will be on the podcast this week, but they also know she’ll be there to discuss her brand new album. What could be more exciting than that for Swifties?
The first clip of Taylor’s appearance on New Heights dropped on Monday night.
Earlier on Monday, New Heights announced that the podcast was coming back early from their hiatus for a show to air at 7 p.m. on Wednesday… complete with the mysterious silhouette of their guest that looked suspiciously similar to Taylor.
Just hours later, it was confirmed that the guest would be Taylor when the New Heights social media accounts shared a clip from her upcoming interview.
In the footage, Taylor and Travis share a pretty adorable moment. After she compliments him on his blue hoodie, he replies, “Yes, I know. It’s the color of your eyes, sweetie. It’s why we match so well.”
To that, Taylor replies, “we’re about to do a f—ing podcast!”
Fans couldn’t get enough.
According to the comments on the post on Instagram — which has already received nearly 2 million likes — fans couldn’t possibly be more excited to watch it all unfold on Wednesday.
“I just had to remind myself to breathe,” one person wrote.
Another commenter added, “This is my Super Bowl.” And speaking of the Super Bowl, even the NFL’s official account got in on the fun, writing, “EVERYBODY STAY CALM.”
Taylor will reveal the details of her twelfth album on the podcast.
After Taylor’s site started counting down to 12:12 a.m. on the early hours of April 12, it all led to the next clip from New Heights, which showed Taylor taking her new album out to show Travis and Jason. Though the album cover is blurry to keep it from getting out too soon, she did reveal that it’s titled The Life of a Showgirl.
The album is now available to preorder.
