Those who have tuned in to Teen Mom from the beginning undoubtedly remember the ups and downs Kailyn Lowry has had with relationships. From 2012 to 2017, she had a particularly tumultuous relationship with Javi Marroquin, and now, he’s engaged to Comeau. The couple recently announced the big news via social — but with an unexpected twist.
Javi and Lauren started dating in 2017. They welcomed their first child together, Eli, in November 2018, followed by a daughter, Maizee, in May 2024. Additionally, Javi shares a son, Lincoln, born in November 2013, with Kailyn.

Javi Marroquin is engaged, Lauren announced via Instagram.
Lauren took to Instagram on October 17 to announce that she and Javi are engaged. The catch? She apparently said yes after Javi proposed more than a year ago! “𝟷𝟶.𝟷𝟼.𝟸𝟹 💍❤️,” she captioned a carousel of photos featuring the couple.
In the photos, Javi enlisted the help of his kids to propose.
The main image of Lauren’s update featured her, Javi, Eli, and Lincoln posing in front of a giant red heart arch. (Maizee wasn’t born yet.) In the foreground, Javi spelled “Will U Marry Daddy?” in candles and flowers in a grassy area.
Other snapshots showed the family posing with bouquets of flowers and Javi getting down on one knee. The final segment of the carousel was a video of Javi and Lauren walking through a park to reveal the proposal display.

Although Maizee didn't get to see her parents' engagement, she was featured in a recent Instagram post.
Maizee may have missed seeing her parents’ engagement, but she was technically in her mom’s belly. Recently, Lauren shared a photo from a family trip to a fall festival. “🎃🫶🏼 these traditions are always bittersweet when you look back & see how fast these babies grow 🥹 don’t blink.. 🤎,” she captioned the October 13 Instagram update. Lauren also included snaps from years past to show how much the kiddos have grown.

October has been a busy month for Javi and Lauren. On October 8, she took to Instagram with pictures from a family trip. “Costa Rica dump…5 days with no agenda. Just eat, swim, and repeat! Costa Rica is beautiful and feels so peaceful. Thanks for this one babe @lauren3elizabeth it’s everything we needed 🫶,” she captioned the sweet snaps.
