‘Teen Mom’ Star Ryan Edwards’ New Court Documents May Confirm That the Show Is Canceled

Is Teen Mom actually coming to an end after more than 15 years? That’s what Maci Bookout‘s ex Ryan Edwards seems to be saying in the documents that have been filed in court involving his divorce from Mackenzie Standifer. We’ve heard a lot of rumors about the show’s fate over the last several weeks, and now, fans might finally have their confirmation that the long-running MTV reality show is done for good.

According to court documents obtained by The Sun, Ryan wants the court to lower the child support payments he pays to Mackenzie for the care of the two children they share, 6-year-old Jagger and 4-year-old Stella. At the time the amount of child support he pays was set, Ryan’s monthly income was about $13,333, which “included his earnings from his appearances on a certain television series.”

But now, Ryan is saying he’s no longer earning money for the show “through no fault of his own,” implying that Teen Mom has now been canceled — or, at the least, that MTV has cut ties with him for some reason.

Since his income has now been reduced to about $4,282 a month at his job at a vehicle repair shop, Ryan wants to reduce his child support accordingly.

“Defendant is unable to continue to pay support in accordance with the October 2024 Order and requests that this court enter an Order Modifying Support until the final hearing in this matter,” say the documents.

Ryan claims he spends just 26 days a year with Jagger and Stella. Meanwhile, Ryan is also dad to 16-year-old Bentley, who he shares with Maci, and his infant daughter Paisley, who he shares with his fiancée Amanda Conners.

Is Teen Mom actually canceled, though? Insiders who spoke to The Sun seem to have mixed intel on this subject.

“Show executives always planned for the show to end when the original kids turned 16,” one source told the site. “This has been told to the cast for years. But who knows what the network will ultimately decide.”

However, two other sources are insisting that it’s not over after all. One called the cancellation rumors fake, while another said, “It has not been canceled, everyone is still on a filming break.”

So far, MTV has yet to issue an official statement on the future of the show.
