‘Teen Mom 2’ Alum Taylor Lewis Is Dead at Age 29 in a ‘Possible Homicide’

There's very sad news coming out of Eden, North Carolina, where police have found the body of Teen Mom 2 alum Taylor Lewis. And even more shocking, the 29-year-old's death is being investigated as a possible homicide, painting a tragic picture about what ultimately became of the mother of two.

Authorities say Taylor was found in a hotel room.

According to Taylor's sister, Haylee Lewis, there is no known cause of death yet. But detectives have been called in to rule out a possible homicide because of some unusual circumstances surrounding the young mom's death.

We can't imagine how tough this must be for Haylee and the rest of her family, but she told InTouch Weekly that authorities are on the case.

Surveillance footage seems to indicate that Taylor wasn't alone in the hours leading up to her death.

"I've been speaking with detectives, too, and they are saying they saw footage of two men with Taylor in the hotel room," Haylee revealed to the magazine, adding that her sister's body was found by the hotel's housekeeper just "hours later."

Taylor's former BFF and costar reacted to the sad news on Facebook.

Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans posted a heartbreaking tribute to her late friend on Friday.

"Taylor, what happened?" she began the post, which features photos of the two together. "We were once best friends and we went our separate ways because of the [different] crowds we chose to hang out with. I wanted to see you eventually flourish as a woman from a distance but was always rooting for you. I don't know what happened, but I am very saddened to hear this news and hope you're resting easy. I'm so sorry and sending your family prayers."

Jenelle and Taylor's relationship became fractured after the two had a relationship with the same man.

Taylor was married to Courtland Rogers, Jenelle's one-time husband. Courtland is the father of Taylor's 11-year-old daughter, Jordan, who the pair welcomed before their relationship ended and Courtland and Jenelle began to date. (Taylor was also mom to a nearly 2-year-old son, River.)

Although the old friends did have a falling-out, Taylor contacted Jenelle in March 2022, but Jenelle said she never responded.

Now, Jenelle has offered her followers a bit of advice.

After admitting that she never answered Taylor's 2022 message, Jenelle told her followers they should learn from her mistake and always reach out to "check up" on old friends.

Our thoughts are with Taylor's two young children and the rest of her family at this time. Hopefully the police are able to uncover what ultimately took the young woman's life.
