Tiger Woods has been laying low since he was arrested and charged with DUI back in March, but he made an exception this week for a friend (and fellow golfer). A video he made to congratulate Notah Begay III has surfaced online, and Tiger looks a lot different than the pro golfer’s fans have known all these years. At this point, many are saying he looks “unrecognizable,” and some people are concerned for his wellbeing.
Tiger looks like a totally different person in the video.

The video, which also aired on The Golf Channel, shows the 50-year-old golfer in a purple polo shirt as he congratulates Notah for winning the 2026 Payne Stewart Award in a prerecorded video that was played during the ceremony.
“It’s been an unbelievable ride with you,” Tiger says in the video. “You first came into my life when I was 11 years old, playing in Junior Worlds and you came over to watch me play, and our friendship started there and never ended.”
At the end of the clip, Notah is seen smiling as he watches his friend speak as the audience around him applauds.

For as happy as Notah was to see his friend on camera, Tiger’s fans seem to be more confused than anything else. Not only are some people confused about why Tiger didn’t just show up to the awards to support his friend in person, but they’re also convinced he looks thinner and older here than he did just earlier this year.
“It pains me to think this, but I fear we’re gonna get breaking news one day about Tiger and it’s not gonna be good,” one person who was clearly fearing the worst wrote on X.
Another wrote, “That is not Tiger Woods.”
It is Tiger Woods, but he does look really different. After all, he has been through quite an ordeal this year after flipping his Land Rover.
Tiger will appear in court for his DUI charges next month.
On March 27, Tiger was involved in a rollover crash in Jupiter, Florida and refused to submit to a urine test. As People reported, he pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge, but he did enter into a six week treatment program somewhere outside of the US shortly afterward. At the time of his arrest, police said they found two hydrocodone pills in Tiger’s pants pocket and said that they “observed several signs of impairment,” including bloodshot eyes.
Tiger will go before a judge in Florida on September 8, which will mark his first court appearance related to this charge.
