By all accounts, Beyoncé seems to be on top of the world right now, especially with the on-screen version of her wildly popular Renaissance tour hitting theaters this Friday. But that doesn't mean her mom doesn't feel the urge to protect her daughter! On Tuesday, Tina Knowles shut down accusations that Beyoncé was "trying to be a white woman" at the movie's premiere this week — apparently, some people believe the music legend actually bleached her skin for the occasion.

The world premiere for Beyoncé's movie was Sunday, November 25.
Donatella Versace shared photos of Beyoncé at the premiere on Instagram because the singer wore a silver metallic Versace gown for the occasion. Bey posed for the camera against a matching silver backdrop, choosing to wear her hair long and so blonde it was almost white.
But not everyone was impressed by her look.
People thought Beyoncé was trying to appear more white at the premiere.
Donatella's comments were flooded with people accusing Beyoncé of "white washing," and although some people blamed the photographer or her makeup artist for the look, others believed the singer herself was at fault. Some even claimed she was trying to look like the Kardashians.
"I have never understood those celebrities who are supposedly proud of their origin but try to change their physical appearance. Whitening their image to fit into another race. It is contradictory and ridiculous," one commenter wrote.
Another chimed in, "She needs to lay off the skin bleaching. No matter how metallic her dress is and no matter how many spotlights are shining down on her, it would not transform her into a white woman."
It didn't take long for Beyoncé's mom to come to her defense.
On Tuesday, Tina took to Instagram to share what appears to be a fan-made video shutting down the accusations with clips of Beyoncé set to her song "Brown Skin Girl." She said that she hoped sharing it would put a stop to all of the "stupid ignorant self hating racist statements."
According to Tina, Beyoncé chose her look for the evening to fit with the Renaissance Tour theme. "She does a film, called the renaissance, where the whole theme is silver with silver hair, a silver carpet, and suggested silver attire and you bozos decide that she's trying to be a white woman and is bleaching her skin?" she wrote.
Tina said that she was 'sick and tired' of Beyoncé being attacked.
She went on to share that she'd heard that a white TMZ employee "had the audacity" to reach out to Beyonce's hairstylist, Neal Farinah, to get a statement about the accusations.
"Well that made, my blood boil, that this white woman felt so entitled to discuss her Blackness," Tina continued in her Instagram post. "I just went and looked at all the beautiful talented black celebrities who have worn platinum hair and it has been just about everyone of them at one time or another. Are they all trying to be white?"

It sounds like Tina is ready for people to move on.
So far, Beyoncé herself hasn't addressed the claims, but one thing is for sure: Her mom is over it!
"I am sick of you losers … This girl minds her own business. She helps people whenever she can. She lifts up & promotes black women and underdogs at all times," she wrote.
