Some breakups are certainly more amicable than others, and as far as co-parenting relationships after divorce go, Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer’s might be the new blueprint. On October 10, 2026, Tobey officiated his ex-wife’s wedding to her new husband — just a few weeks after their divorce was finalized, mind you — and looking at the photos that have surfaced online, it seems like everyone involved actually had a really good time. Who knew this was possible?
Jennifer tied the knot in Hawaii.
According to People, Jennifer, who is a jewelry designer, celebrated her wedding to Geoffrey Ogunlesi, who is the son of billionaire Adebayo Ogunlesi, at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii. She and Geoffrey welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, earlier this year.
The guest list was full of A-listers like Courteney Cox and Leonardo DiCaprio, but standing right there in front of all of their loved ones who had gathered was Tobey — Jennifer’s ex-husband, with whom she shares kids Ruby and Otis, who were also in attendance at the wedding.
Their marriage may not have worked out the way they planned, but Tobey was there to officiate this one, which speaks volumes about the kind of relationship they must have for the sake of their kids.
Tobey and Jennifer first split a decade ago.
Jennifer and Tobey were married for nine years until they went their separate ways in 2016 and separated. But they didn’t actually file for divorce until four years later, and the paperwork wasn’t finalized until September 21 of this year, so it seems like they weren’t in much of a rush to make their breakup official.
Then again, if they were getting along this well, what would their rush have been to finish up the paperwork until one of them decided they wanted to get married again?
The procrastinators out there will totally understand how something like this happens. And in the end, it looks like doing things on their own timeline really worked out for the best.
They’ve remained good friends after their divorce, so of course Tobey was included in the wedding.
During a 2022 appearance on World’s First Podcast, Jennifer admitted that it was “a lot of work” for her and Tobey to have the positive co-parenting relationship they do today, but at the same time, totally worth it.
Ultimately, she said their breakup was “the most beautiful experience” and said that she would do “anything in the world” for Tobey.
“I can’t even explain,” she said on the podcast. “He is my brother. I love him to death.”
How special for Jennifer and Tobey to find a way to remain a family, even when their romantic relationship came to an end, and for him to be included in this next chapter for her as well. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
