Todd Chrisley Addresses Claims That He’s Gay & Had Affair With Former Business Associate

As Todd Chrisley prepares to begin serving his prison sentence later this month (along with his wife, Julie), he's setting the record straight. During a conversation with his son, Chase, on the family's Chrisley Confessions podcast, Todd denied the rumors that he had an affair with male business associate Mark Braddock.

When he was testifying during the fraud trial, Mark Braddock claimed to have had an affair with Todd years ago.

As Business Insider reported, in May, Braddock — who happened to be the one to turn Todd and Julie in to the FBI —  testified that he and Todd were involved in a romantic affair that went on for about a year in the early 2000s. After their alleged affair came to an end, they continued working together as friends, and Braddock was working for one of Todd's companies when someone threatened to expose their former tryst.

Braddock claimed that Todd paid this person $38,000 to keep the affair (and the fraud that the Chrisleys were later convicted of) quiet.

Now, Todd is denying that Mark's story is true.

While speaking with Chase on the podcast, Todd vehemently denied that he had ever had an affair with Braddock, who he described as "someone that looks like a thumb," noting that his story about what supposedly happened between them was always changing.

"Let me you tell something. I could understand if you’d have had sex with me, it would [make] you crazy. I get that. There have been many who have been d—-notized by your daddy," Todd joked. "I ain’t that small spoon at Baskin-Robbins. I’m the whole scoop. You don’t get to just sample here."

He went on to say that he was insulted that people would believe the affair happened.

"That is the one thing that is the most insulting. To say that I couldn’t pull something better than that … there’s better to be had by Todd Chrisley than that," he said.

Well, that answers that.

Todd has only ever publicly been involved with women.

In fact, he and his wife, Julie, have been married for 26 years, and they had three children together in that time. Todd had two older children with ex-wife Teresa Terry, and he and Julie are raising their 10-year-old granddaughter Chloe, who they adopted after oldest son Kyle (along with Chloe's biological mother) was unable to care for her.

Todd and Julie are set to begin their prison sentences later this month.

After being convicted on charges involving fraud and tax crimes, Todd and Julie will begin their sentences in two different Florida prison facilities soon. Todd has been sentenced to 12 years behind bars, while Julie will be locked up for seven.

Given that he's about to leave public life for such a long period of time, it makes sense that Todd's trying to set the record straight while he still can, but at this point, who knows for sure what the truth is?
