Tour Matt Damon’s $21 Million Los Angeles Estate

Hollywood A-lister Matt Damon is officially selling his Los Angeles home and that means we've finally gotten a peek inside. The seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom estate is just as swanky as we would have imagined the home of the Jason Bourne star to be. It is absolutely luxe and we can't help but picture him hosting soirees for all of film's top players at the 13,500-square-foot Los Angeles mansion — it's really that impressive. Nevertheless, Matt, his wife Luciana Barroso, and their four kids are moving on to other things.

So, we're not at all surprised at the hefty price tag he's put on it as he prepares to sell it and head back to the East Coast where he's already purchased another ritzy home. Before he moves into his new Brooklyn, New York, penthouse full time though, he'll have to offload the LA home which was recently listed for a whopping $21 million. Located in affluent Pacific Palisades, Matt paid $15 million for the place in 2012, so he stands to make a pretty penny off the sale if he gets the asking price.

With its half acre of land, 35-foot mahogany ceilings, wine tasting room, home gym, and swimming pool complete with a covered lanai, we have a feeling he won't have too hard of time selling this luxury abode.

Impressive Atrium

As we mentioned, Matt's home features 35-foot mahogany ceilings. The house boasts three stories and these incredible vaulted ceilings in the entryway span two of them, cutting a most impressive visual. The woodwork is so striking and we love that even though it's dark, all of the wide windows let in tons of light.

Wide Open Spaces

The home has a wide-open concept for the main living spaces. From that massive entryway, there's a formal living room that opens directly up to the spacious patio. Beyond that, there's a huge open kitchen that leads into the indoor/outdoor family room and lounge area.

Dining With a View

The formal dining room features floor-to-ceiling windows and doors on one side that open directly to the outdoors, creating an indoor/outdoor space that seems perfect when weather permits (which is often in LA). When the doors are closed, there's still a beautiful view out into the garden.

Luxury Living

The home's family room has plenty of space for a large cozy sofa that undoubtedly was perfect for Matt's big family. Its entertainment center is built-in, and the room is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors that open directly to the pool and terrace. It's so comfy and expensive looking.

Hardwood & Stone

The more formal living space that is located just inside the spectacular atrium features a huge fireplace built into a stone wall. It's adjacent to the dining room and gleaming hardwood floors throughout. The room also benefits from plenty of natural light from the wall of windows in the dining room.

Games for Grown-Ups

Matt's home boasts an impressive game room that opens directly to the lawn via a floor-to-ceiling retracting door. Although we're sure Matt's kids enjoyed the space, it's also well-outfitted for the grown-ups with a massive pool table and its own bar. Those ceilings are just incredible and give the room a bit of a cigar bar feel.

Wine Tasting at Home

By the look of this room, we'd venture to say Matt loved staying in and putting it to good use. It doesn't surprise us that he would have plenty of home entertainment options. This wine cellar and tasting room is certainly one of them.

Work Out at Home

There's also a spacious home gym that must have been super-convenient for Matt when he had to get in good shape for a role. The room is equipped with cardio machines, free weights, and has plenty of mirrors for checking on form. There's literally enough room for the whole family to work out together.

Work From Home, Too

As a filmmaker and screenwriter, we're sure Matt put his in-home screening room to good use on the regular. The space has tray ceilings, which likely help with the acoustics, while the windows have blackout shades. We love that this house is furnished with so many big, comfy couches.

Lanai Life

The Los Angeles mansion's backyard and pool area are absolutely resort-like. Adjacent to the large swimming pool is a beautiful natural wood lanai, with outdoor lounge seating. There's also a spa and a koi pond, and the entire area is surrounded by lush greenery that provides both shade and privacy.

Made for R&R

On the other side of the pool, across from the lanai, is another cushy lounge area with more oversized, comfy couches. The area looks perfectly designed for rest and relaxation, or entertaining friends at an outdoor cocktail party or pool party.

Master Suite

The sprawling master suite reminds us of a fancy resort suite in some exotic destination. The dark woods from the rest of the house carry through into this spacious bedroom, which has room for a king size bed, a sizeable sofa, and two chunky coffee tables. Plus, it has a giant balcony that nearly doubles the space.

Soak in a Spa

Every one of this home's seven bedrooms has an en suite bathroom, but the master's is, of course, particularly impressive. It looks like a space straight out of some fancy spa. It has a deep soaking tub surrounded by windows, a wide vanity with room for two, and a large walk-in shower.

A Convenience for the Rich & Famous

Matt and Luciana have to dress for special occasions all the time, so these dual dressings rooms off the master bedroom must have been quite convenient. These dressing rooms are as big as many bedrooms in average homes, and could easily accommodate Matt and Luciana, along with a stylist and makeup artist, or two.

Master Massage

The best room in the house might just be the massage room, though. It's spacious and bright with floor-to-ceiling windows and carpeted floors to ensure peace and quiet. And even better, there's totally enough space for a couple's massage. How romantic! We can only dream about how awesome it would be to have an in-home massage.

Fit for a Princess

This bedroom would be a dream for most young girls. With its cozy bed, sparkly light fixture, and roomy window seat, it's the perfect place to do some reading or more than likely, texting. And man, that view is pretty! It certainly would be nice to wake up to all that sunshine and lush landscaping.
