Kayla Nicole, Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend, recently addressed the relationships she used to have with several Kansas City Chiefs WAGs. Appearing on WNBA player Angel Reese’s Unapologetically Angel podcast, the 32-year-old influencer opened up about her former friendships.
Before they broke up in 2022, Kayla and Travis spent a lot of time with his Kansas City Chiefs teammates and their partners. Angel wanted to know whether Kayla was still close with her ex’s friend circle, now that they’re not together. She asked Kayla whether she was still friends with some of the women connected to her ex.

Things have changed since the breakup.
An uncomfortable Kayla laughed before mumbling, “Mhm.” She went on to explain that she’s not really friends with the women anymore. “Yes, I was,” she said. When asked if that was still the case, she replied, “We were cool [but] we are not as cool as we once were.”
She described the transition as being 'hard.'
According to Page Six, Kayla described the post-breakup transition as “hard.” She said she found the relationships dwindling with those she used to be close to. “That was like family,” she explained. Though Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, wasn’t mentioned by name, she and Kayla used to be very close.

Kayla and Brittany were a large part of each other's lives.
Kayla and Brittany were close friends, often vacationing together and constantly appearing on each other’s social media pages. After her split from Travis, Kayla remained friends with Brittany, even attending a surprise birthday party for her in August 2023.
She eventually had to unfollow Brittany.
Kayla eventually made the decision to unfollow Brittany and Patrick to protect her mental health, according to an interview with People in October 2023.
“I do think it’s important to publicly address this because I did publicly unfollow people,” she said. “The reality is I know these people in real life. And so, in real life, I’ve communicated to these people why I’ve had to publicly make the decisions that I made.
“That’s a lot of history and friendship there, that doesn’t change overnight,” she continued. “But publicly, because things are happening so quickly and so publicly, I have to protect myself. That’s really all that is. The love is still there.”
