Donna Kelce is already a grandmother, but apparently, she’s hoping for more grandkids. During a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis and Jason Kelce made it clear that their mom has been asking Travis about grandkids even though Jason is already a dad of four. And now that Travis and Taylor Swift are officially engaged, Donna might be wondering about the couple’s plans for the future.
On the podcast, Jason said Travis is their mom’s favorite.
The two brothers spoke to guest Deion Sanders about how parents rank their children. During the conversation, Jason revealed that his mom has “always had Travis number one.” However, Travis said that’s not exactly true, at least not at the moment.
Currently, Jason is their mom’s favorite.
And based on Travis’s perception, it’s all because Jason has four kids while Travis has zero. “Right now, Mom has Jason no. 1 because he has kids,” Travis argued. Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, recently welcomed their fourth daughter, Finn. They have three other daughters: Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, and Bennett, 2.
Jason admitted that their mom might feel that way.
Clearly, Donna loves being a grandmother — because Jason did agree that he seems to be her favorite right now. “That is true,” Jason said. “She has said that. She has made that comment. She’s put some pressure on (Travis).”
After hearing this, Deion questioned Travis about starting a family in the future. “What you waiting on though? What you waiting for?” he joked. Travis didn’t respond to these questions.
This revelation comes after Donna accidentally shared a post about Taylor and Travis having kids.
Less than a month ago, Donna made headlines when she reposted a clip from comedian Leanne Morgan. In the clip, Leanne claimed that Taylor’s “uterus is aching” and “she wants a baby.” She added that “it’s time” for Taylor to have kids, and even tagged Donna in the comments, writing, “@donnakelce congratulations , girl!!! Wahoo!!!!! Grand babies playing ball AND singing!!!”
Donna seemingly shared the clip by mistake, as she quickly unshared it.
Fans called Donna a typical MIL.
It’s not clear if Donna is truly pressuring Travis and Taylor to have kids. But if she is, she wouldn’t be all that different from tons of other moms/MILs who are doing the exact same thing. “MIL does MIL things, more at six!” one person joked on Reddit. Another person wrote, “So Donna wants more grandkids, making her like basically 99% of all grandmas.”
Though people were not all that surprised, some still didn’t love hearing this. “i wish MILs would leave their daughter-in-law’s alone,” someone else commented. A fourth person added, “Imagine being the most famous woman alive & STILL having to deal with pushy in-laws who are obsessed with your reproductive system.”
