Tristan Thompson looked like a proud dad on social media when he shared several photos of his children to celebrate his daughter True Thomspon’s seventh birthday. However, many fans noticed that one of Tristan’s kids was not included in any of the photos. The professional basketball player is dad to four children.
He shares True, 7, and Tatum, 2, with Khloé Kardashian.
Tristan shares his oldest child, Prince, 8, with his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig. Theo, 3, was born in December 2021. At first, Tristan denied being Theo’s father, but later admitted that he “fathered a child with Maralee Nichols” while he was still in a relationship with Khloé.
“Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son,” Tristan said in January 2022.
After confirming that he fathered Theo, he also apologized to Khloé. “Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” he said at the time. “You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you.”
On April 12, he wished True a happy birthday.
“Happy birthday Twinny!! My TuTu is 7 today!! I Can’t believe how time flies,” the basketball player wrote on Instagram. “Momma you are literally the light that shines bright In my life. When I see you I see mommy aka GiGi. True you bring your brothers, mommy and all your cousins soo much happiness you literally spark any room you walk in. You have the best soul ever I’m soo blessed to have as my daughter. Keep being amazing each and every day. Daddy always got you. I can’t wait to play tag and jump on the trampoline. I love you Twin 🤞🏾❤️.”
He also shared several photos of his children.
Fans noticed that Theo was not included.
Some fans thought the post was super sweet.
“THAT’S THE SWEETEST!” one person commented on Tristan’s post. “TRISTAN IS TRUELY THE BEST DAD!”
However, others were more critical because they noticed that Theo was not pictured at all. “Missing one of your children!” one naysayer commented. “Not a good dad unless you’re a good dad for all of your children.”
A second critic wrote, “Where’s the other kid????”
A third person added, “This is all sweet and all but everyone defending him for not acknowledging the other kid…imagine in a few years that kid makes contact because he is old enough to understand THIS whole messed up situation??!!!”
It’s not the first time fans have wondered where Theo was.
Theo was also absent from the family photos Tristan shared in December 2024, making fans skeptical of Tristan’s parenting decisions.
“They are all adorable and you can tell how much you love them …. It is just hard to see these pics and think that they have a sibling that will see these pics one day and wonder why they aren’t in any pictures,” one person commented at the time.
Another person wrote, “Go get that other baby.”
A harsher critic urged Tristan to “grow up and be a man.” “Take accountability that you brought another child into the world,” the person added. “Stop pretending to be father of the year. We can see through your posts.”
Khloé previously admitted that her daughter thinks she’s married to Tristan.
To make the situation even messier, Khloé recently admitted that True thinks her parents are married. On a recent episode of The Kardashians, Khloé revealed that she hasn’t corrected her daughter — and she doesn’t think she needs to right now. “When she’s older, I can explain it to her,” she said on the show. “But right now, I believe you do things for your kids because kids should not be involved in adult problems.”
She only had one concern about it. “The only thing that bothers me about that would be I don’t want True going through life thinking this is what a marriage is,” Khloé said. “That you’re married to someone and they don’t live with you and you never have to kiss them, or you don’t sleep in the same bed together.”
