When a group of women who are related to or at least connected to Donald Trump get together, you have to expect that their respective wardrobes cost a small fortune. So when his daughters Tiffany and Ivanka Trump were seen in a photo on X (formerly Twitter) with Arabella Kushner, Lara Trump, and Bettina Anderson at Bettina’s bridal shower, their dresses made people pause.
Not only were some people curious about the cost of the ladies’ dresses, all of which clearly have a tag that is stitched with a designer whose clothes the average American can’t afford, but they were also ready to ream the ladies’ fashion choices. From comments about how much people are struggling to the fact that some of the designs look like actual drapes, there’s a lot that people were ready to unpack about Trump’s women and their clothing choices.

In the photo, Arabella, who is Ivanka’s oldest child, stands next to Lara, who is married to Eric Trump. On her other side is Bettina, who is going to marry into the Trump family as Donald Trump Jr.’s second wife. Then, we have Trump’s other daughters, Tiffany and Ivanka. And, chances are, all of their dresses, gauche as they may be to some, cost more than most people would ever dare to spend on a dress that might only be worn once.
“Voters are struggling to pay their bill while Trump’s family live in luxury,” someone wrote on X in reply to the photo that was shared.
Another person added, “Who really cares? We’re trying to afford groceries and gas.”
“Those dresses probably cost more than most MAGA morons’ annual income and yet…they still voted for the most corrupt POTUS in history,” a user wrote.
Starting off strong with Ivanka’s dress, it appears to be a Zimmermann dress which, at Nordstrom, costs $1,950. The pink version of Bettina’s dress is listed online for $2,235. Surprisingly, Lara wore her dress at least once before, so that’s, well, something. As for Arabella’s dress, it’s cheap by comparison at $850.
The Trump women’s overall looks also have people talking. “Nothing says ‘genuine family joy’ like a row of perfectly frozen, filler-enhanced smiles that haven’t moved since the last Botox refresh,” a Trump critic wrote on X.
But don’t worry because, as someone put it on X, “Whatever cruel people buy that is expensive always looks tacky and cheap.”
The dress patterns and designs are being trolled hard by Trump critics
Not only are people surprised at the cost of the dresses that the women wore, but the actual designs are nothing to be impressed about, according to some. Sure, it’s easy to speculate on the cost of the dresses if critics already despise the women and their family, but it takes a bit more creativity to point out how tacky the prints are, at least according to some users on X.
“Somewhere a Volkswagen is missing its seatcovers,” someone joked.
“Somewhere in Virginia there’s a house with no drapes,” another person said. Those two should probably link up and compare notes, to be honest.
Others joked that the dresses came from the Mar-a-Lago gift shop. Someone even joked, “Well, the destruction of the East Wing meant a lot of spare curtains lying around, for a start…”
People also speculated on how they think the dresses almost seem dated, though to be fair, they are all pretty modern styles. Still, another user commented, “JC Penney’s Easter closeout sale rack. From 1989.”
Some compared the women’s similar styles to cult clothing.
It’s no secret that people who opposed the Trump Administration views Trump and his supporters as a MAGA cult. So these dresses, according to some, might be considered part of the cult uniform, at least in a small way.
“They all look the same. Same style dress, same hair,” a user wrote on X. It’s a cult.”
And, it seems, the makeup routine is part of the cult uniform.
“The makeup on the faces of Trump women is so thick you could chip at it for hours and still not get to a real face, assuming there IS a real face,” someone else wrote.
