What to Know
Who knew that Turning Point Action had such a grudge against podcaster Alex Cooper? I’m not sure she even knew that, but she probably does now, thanks to a post on X from the organization linked to Turning Point USA. In the post, Turning Point Action called out Alex for getting pregnant and gave her a backhanded compliment about no longer “sleeping around.”
Yes, apparently we are in an era where it’s totally acceptable for a nonprofit organization to publicly humiliate someone without even being promoted to do so. Other users on X called out Turning Point Action afterwards. Some even criticized Erika Kirk in the same way, seemingly to get back at the organization for its poorly timed and low blow post on X.
Apparently, the organization has strong feelings about Alex Cooper.
Congrats to Alex Cooper for finally realizing sleeping around isn’t the key to happiness https://t.co/LfTlI4WU3N

Cooper is the host of the Call Her Daddy podcast and she has never really shared if she leans heavily to one side of the political landscape more than the other. Still, it seems, Turning Point Action has a lot to say when it comes to Cooper’s personal life and her plans to start a family with producer husband Matt Kaplan.
The post by Turning Point Action said, “Congrats to Alex Cooper for finally realizing sleeping around isn’t the key to happiness.”
If you’re thinking how strange it is for an organization to make any kind of social media post about someone “sleeping around,” you aren’t alone. It was out of pocket for the Turning Point USA-adjacent group to post on X, especially seemingly unprompted.
“Congrats to Turning Point USA for staying on brand and shaming a public figure’s family moment to be relevant,” someone wrote on X, clearly with plenty of sarcasm to back it up. “Keep being gross!”
Someone else wrote, “Wow. This is a disgusting post. Wouldn’t expect anything less from y’all.”
Apparently, Turning Point Action might see Cooper as a poor example for other pregnant women out there. As one X user pointed out in response to the hate that the organization got on X, “For years, Alex has lied to women how abortions are great and so is sleeping around with anyone you want. But she goes ahead and starts a family? She’s a hypocrite.”
Then, people pointed out that they see Turning Point USA’s CEO, Erika Kirk, in the same light.
“What a vile thing to say. Typical TP under jezebel,” one person wrote. “BTW how many of Erika’s exes that she keeps around have known or do know her in the biblical sense?”
Another added, “Then why does Erika Kirk do it? She’s been renting a bungalow in Pound Town ever since Charlie died and only looks unhappy on stage talking with you dorks.”
Alex Cooper was on the group’s radar ever since her Kamala Harris interview.
Before the 2024 presidential election, Cooper did not have Trump on her podcast for an interview. Instead, she hosted Kamala Harris. And that might be where the feud was born, even if Cooper doesn’t even know it. Cooper said at The New York Times‘ DealBook Summit in late 2024 that she saw inviting Harris on her podcast as a great way to have an important discussion about women’s rights.
When listeners apparently asked Cooper about why she didn’t talk to Harris about other hot button issues, like the Mexico-America border, she explained, “I don’t know, go watch CNN. I want to talk about what’s important to my audience.”
Turning Point Action is an affiliate group of Turning Point USA.
Even though Turning Point Action posted that comment about Cooper and her pregnancy, and not the official X account for Turning Point USA, it is a subsidiary of the larger organization. According to its website, Turning Point Action is here to “equip and empower all generations to engage in grassroots activism and emerge as leaders in their communities.”
