As fans watched their relationship change and grow over the years on Teen Mom (and before that, 16 & Pregnant), Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra have been on the receiving end of a whole lot of criticism about their marriage. After moments like the one on the show when Tyler seemed to refer to his wife as a “heifer,” fans have been especially sensitive to the way that he talks about Cate’s body.
Now, there’s a whole compilation video of times that Tyler made remarks about Catelynn’s body, and after seeing how often it comes up, fans are even more horrified than they were already.
Tyler and Catelynn have had a lot of discussions about her weight — and about how he wants her to lose it.
The compilation video was originally shared on TikTok in November 2025, but it’s going viral all over again now.
The sheer amount of times that Cate’s weight comes up in conversation, while cameras are rolling, is striking, especially since Tyler often seems to be encouraging her weight loss or telling her what she’s doing (or eating) wrong to lose weight on multiple occasions.
Even when the woman was pregnant, Tyler was busy giving her his opinion about how much weight she should or should not gain. It’s a lot to take in all in one place.
People are disgusted with Tyler’s comments after seeing them all in one place.
Now that the video has been shared on Reddit, people are slamming Tyler for the way he’s talked to and about his wife’s body.
“I feel like Cate’s weight is just an outward reflection of her depression,” one commenter wrote. “Food becomes comfort. And depression robs you of motivation to exercise. I think she feels trapped — but she’s in denial and convinces herself that Tyler is her safe place. The devil you know.”
Others think they’re both equally bad for each other: “They are so bad for one another but they are the definition of trauma bonded. When you survive the war that each of them did in their families and childhood, it’s very difficult to break that bond.”
Tyler recently celebrated Catelynn for her 30 pound weight loss.
On Sunday, Tyler posted a side-by-side photo of Catelynn wearing the same witch costume on Instagram, both before and after she lost 30 pounds.
“Can we just take a moment to acknowledge how beautiful my wife is!?” he wrote in his caption, adding a heart eyes emoji.”She’s down 30lbs & I’m so beyond proud of her! I love you babe & you’re always the most beautiful to me!”
A lot of his followers joined Tyler in cheering Catelynn on in the comments, but others still didn’t love the way he called attention to her weight, with one writing, “I would hate my husband if he posted this.”
In the end, what matters most is how Catelynn feels about her body. After all, she’s the one who lives in it.
