Most of us know what it’s like to spend a night wearing painful shoes that we chose because they looked good with our outfit, not because they were comfortable. But when Victoria Beckham appeared to be going through it at husband David Beckham‘s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, people were more concerned than anything else — to the point that it almost takes the spotlight off of David and puts it on her instead. How could she even walk in these?
David celebrated with his family in June.
After decades of contributions to the sports and entertainment worlds, it seemed fitting that David be presented with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and his family was there to cheer him on (well, his family members he isn’t feuding with, anyway).
That included sons Romeo and Cruz, daughter Harper, and, of course, his wife, Victoria.
According to SheFinds, Victoria was wearing a dress from her own fashion line paired with Harlow Mask Halter-Back sandals also from her line, which retail for £590.00, or about $787 in US dollars.
Victoria’s feet were practically screaming through the ceremony.
After taking a closer look at the photos that David shared on Instagram, people were a bit concerned that Victoria was mashing her feet into shoes that were just never going to work for her feet.
“So the toes already look very deformed, probably because she always wears high heels,” one person wrote on Facebook.
Another commented, “OK, let Beckham have a star, but what are we gonna do about Victoria’s toes?”
It’s a bold choice to criticize anything Victoria Beckham is wearing, but maybe these comments were coming from a place of true concern?
And then, of course, there were the slew of comments speculating what plastic surgery she might have undergone, but that’s just par for the course at this point.
Others were more focused on her facial expression.
The criticism did not end there. People were full of negative opinions about the way this family showed up to the ceremony, from claiming that their 14-year-old daughter Harper’s dress was inappropriate for someone her age to calling Victoria “unhappy” because she wasn’t grinning from ear to ear in the photos — not that she’s ever been one to grin in photos, even when she’s at her happiest.
Some people weren’t afraid to admit that they just straight up do not like Victoria: “He seems all right. Can’t stand the wife not even way back when she may have been relevant.”
One more time for good measure: this is Victoria Beckham we’re talking about. This former Spice Girl was best known for the serious expression on her feet and for walking in ridiculously high heels. She can handle a little foot pain for an event honoring her husband. She is just fine!
