What to Know
There have been rumors about tension between Victoria and David Beckham and their 26-year-old son, Brooklyn, since he and wife Nicola Peltz tied the knot in 2022, but over the past year, it’s seemed that the family’s feud has been worse than ever.
And with the holidays quickly approaching, an insider has claimed that Victoria and David are really feeling the separation between them and Brooklyn, especially after he recently missed out on a couple of big milestones for his dad.
Victoria and David are really hoping Brooklyn comes around soon.
According to what a source close to the famous family told The Sun, Victoria and David are really missing their son now that the holiday season is in full swing.
“It’s like the ghost of Brooklyn is hanging over their Christmas and New Year’s celebrations,” the source said. “Last year they were all together like one big happy family and this year couldn’t be more different. His absence has really taken a toll on the special days — the knighthood — and now Christmas.”
The “door is always open” for him when he’s ready.
Recently, Victoria shared a video on her Instagram Stories that showed the kids’ stockings hung at her mother’s house, including Brooklyn’s — something that the family doesn’t typically do, signaling that it might be her way of extending an olive branch to her son.
“The message they’re sending is that the door is always open and he’s always welcome,” the insider said. “They’d love nothing more than to see Brooklyn over Christmas, put the past behind them and start 2026 afresh.”
When it comes to their daughter-in-law, though, it doesn’t sound like they’re very hopeful.
“And Nicola? Well they’ve stopped trying to win her back over,” the insider added. “It might never happen, she might never warm up to them again. So for now, they’re concentrating on Brooklyn.”
Brooklyn was recently missing from two big moments in his dad’s life.
In November, David was knighted by King Charles, and the following month, he and his MLS team, Inter Miami, won the 2025 MLS Cup. Brooklyn was missing for both big days in his dad’s life, so there’s no doubt that Victoria and David don’t want the holidays to go the same way.
There’s still time for him to make a plan to see his family on December 25… but will this be where Brooklyn draws the line?
