Elon Musk has at least 14 children, many of whom were conceived via in vitro fertilization. Now, his estranged daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, suggests her dad used sex-selective IVF in attempt to choose the biological sex of his children. After losing his first child with ex-wife Justine Wilson to sudden infant death syndrome, Elon and Justine welcomed five children. All five were conceived via IVF and assigned male at birth, reported Forbes.
Vivian said her ‘assigned sex at birth was a commodity that was bought and paid for.’
On Sunday, March 9, Elon’s estranged daughter, whom he welcomed with ex-wife Justine Wilson, took to Threads to allege that her father used sex-selective IVF. “My assigned sex at birth was a commodity that was bought and paid for,” Vivian wrote on the platform. “So when I was feminine as a child and then turned out to be transgender, I was going against the product that was sold.”
“That expectation of masculinity that I had to rebel against all my life was a monetary transaction,” she continued. “A monetary transaction. A MONETARY TRANSACTION.”
In 2024, Vivian said that her dad pressured her to seem more masculine when she was a child.

During an interview with NBC News, Vivian described her father as “cold” and “very quick to anger.” Additionally, she wrote on Threads that Elon wasn’t around much when she was a kid, but when he was, she “was relentlessly harassed [by Elon] for my femininity and queerness.”
She recalled a road trip she took with her father in fourth grade. “He was constantly yelling at me viciously because my voice was too high,” she said, calling it “cruel.”

In the United States, sex-selective IVF is technically legal. But, of course, it’s controversial — and sex selection for nonmedical reasons is banned in many countries around the world. Upon seeing Vivian’s Threads post, some people realized that most of Elon’s kids were assigned male at birth.
Elon misgendered and deadnamed his daughter in conversation with Jordan Peterson last year.
In 2024, Elon told psychologist Jordan Peterson that he was “tricked” into authorizing gender-affirming care for his daughter when she was a teenager. Throughout the interview, he misgendered her and claimed that he “lost” her because she was “killed by the woke-mind virus.”
After Elon made these claims, Vivian took to Threads, writing, “I look pretty good for a dead b—-.”
During her interview with NBC, she also said her estranged father “was not by any means tricked.”
Vivian recently revealed that she learned about many of her half siblings via social media.

In February, she took to TikTok to share that she learned about her new half siblings via Reddit on two separate occasions. “If I had a nickel for every time that I found out I had a new half-sibling online, I’d have a few nickels — which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened SIX SEPARATE TIMES 💀,” Vivian wrote on Threads in February. “‘I don’t know how many siblings I have’ goes really hard on 2 truths and a lie though I will admit.”
