After the release of wife Jada Pinkett Smith's new memoir, Worthy, in October 2023, Will Smith's personal life made headlines. Will's former friend and assistant, Brother Bilaal, accused the actor of having a gay affair with fellow actor Duane Martin. Bilaal says he walked in on Will and Duane once, and though there's no evidence to prove his claims, he didn't hold back when telling the story during a recent interview.

Brother Bilaal shared the story of Will Smith's reported gay affair during an interview.
While appearing on *Unwine With Tasha K,* in November 2023, Bilaal shared what he says happened when he walked into Will's dressing room unannounced years ago.
"I opened the door to Duane’s dressing room and that’s when I see Duane having anal sex with Will," he said. "There was a couch and Will was bent over the couch and Duane was standing up killing him, murdering him. It was murder in there."
Bilaal's interview was pretty explosive.
Though he and Will were once close, that certainly isn't the case anymore, and Bilaal's claims about his former friend's sex life didn't stop there. He went on to compare a certain part of Will's anatomy to a "pinky toe" and even said he wanted to marry Jada for the "validation" that came with it, because everyone in Hollywood wanted her at the time.
People didn't necessarily buying what Bilaal claimed.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), some people pointed out that host Tasha K has been sued for defamation before by multiple celebrities, including Cardi B, and others were upset Will's character was being called into question.
"Why so many people have so much hate for Will? What did he ever do but try and make us laugh and be happy. This is disgusting," one person wrote.
Others pointed out that, even if the story was true, it's not cool to out anyone if they haven't chosen to share that part of their lives themselves. "This is disrespectful and slandering. This guy’s a clout chaser," another person tweeted.
Will's rep has denied the reports.
Hours after Bilaal's interview started circulating online, Will's rep issued a statement to TMZ, denying the former assistant's claims.
"This story is completely fabricated and the claim is unequivocally false," the statement read.

Bilaal could end up facing consequences for his claims.
According to what a source told TMZ, Will has considered taking legal action against Bilaal. So far, he hasn't spoken out directly about his claims — or cleared up what, exactly, the nature of his relationship with Bilaal used to be.
If Bilaal's claims are truly false, it won't be surprising if this isn't the last we hear of this from Will's rep.
