Fall is officially the busiest time of year in my house. With homework, baseball, tennis, dance, school activities, homework, and more, we are constantly on the go. It's a fun but frenzied time of year, and, unfortunately, sometimes something has to give — namely, healthy, home-cooked meals. But since I started using my Crock-Pot more, that's all changed for the better.

Instead of running in for takeout here, or calling for delivery there, I've found that if I take just a few minutes to prepare something in my slow cooker in the morning, it makes all the difference in the world for both dinner and helpful leftovers.
Nothing is easier or better than walking in the door and having a delicious, nutritious meal ready and waiting without having to deal with any evening stress. Plus, not only do these hearty meals require little cleanup at the end of a busy day, but they are easily freezable — so you can double up and get more meals out of your time in the kitchen.
