A Frog
A woman found a frog in her organic salad, but what she did next was even more surprising: She decided to keep it as a pet! That's one cool customer!
A Condom
When you order calamari, you expect it to be a bit chewy. But one customer, thinking her appetizer was much chewier than usual, found she was actually gnawing on a condom. Did you just gag? We don't blame you!
Bird Poop
One mom shared what she thinks she found on her plate. Ugh!
"I found a piece of what looked like bird crap on the edge of my plate once. Hubby picked it off to inspect it and it crumbled apart, so we never found out what it really was. He said it looked like a piece of this stuff that the mushrooms grow on? I don't know, but it looked enough like bird poo to me."
A Screw
"A screw in my plate of deviled eggs from the deli in the local grocery store," is another unexpected and scary surprise one mom uncovered.
A Roach
"My son absolutely hates lettuce and he kept telling us that his cheese quesadilla tasted like lettuce," share an anonymous mom. "I opened it up and there was a small roach stuck to the cheese inside of it! That was the nastiest thing ever! The place was shut down about a month later … for roach infestation."
Needles
It's enough you have to pay for food on flights, so when you do, you at least expect it to be decent. Unfortunately, some passengers discovered sewing needles inside their turkey sandwiches. That's really frightening — especially for parents flying with young children!
A Fingertip
A Florida-based pizzeria once accidentally served a fingertip in a salad. We're all for interesting toppings — but not that!
A Rat's Head
While there are plenty of ingredients that go into chili, one of them should never be a rat's head. Yet, that's exactly what one customer bit into while dining out. Can you imagine how horrifying that would be!?
A Feather
A woman who bit into a chicken nugget only to find a feather hiding inside wasn't consoled when others tried to tell her to look on the bright side: At least it's real chicken!
A Fingernail
Here's a case for making your own whipped peas! A dad whose 5-month-old was choking on baby food found that the mysterious object obstructing his baby's airway was a fingernail. Yikes!
A Spider
Finding a hair in your food is nothing new, but this mom found something else baked right in!
"I've found hair in my food from restaurants, but the grossest thing I've ever found came from a grocery store bakery: A dead spider baked onto the top of a chocolate chip muffin."
A (Used) Band-Aid
One mom says she discovered one of the least hygenic things you can think of in her food: a used Band-aid. "When brought to their attention, response was 'Well, what do you want us to do about it now?' (Was a delivered meal). They ended up shut down by the health department later, for various violations."
A Piece of Glass
One mom reveals a dangerous ingredient that never should've appeared in her husband's meal.
"Pieces of glass at a Japanese restaurant!!! My hubby pulled one out of his mouth … luckily no cuts and didn't swallow any!!!"
Pubic Hair
A mom says she discovered a pubic hair on a popular breakfast sandwich from a fast food chain. "It made me throw up, and I haven't been able to eat (at this restaurant) in 20 years."
A Latex Glove
A mom related this scary story, "My sister once found a fried latex glove on her chicken tenders — it looked like another chicken tender!"
