Most celebs go for glitzy mansions in L.A., but Johnny Depp isn't like most celebs. He recently put his 37-acre French Provencal home village on the market for $26 million. The estate is located about 17 miles from Saint Tropez in Plan-de-la-Tour, France. The property includes 200-year-old stone-built houses, a main house, a chapel, guest cottages, and a bar and restaurant! Johnny has personally decorated each of the structures, and the price includes all of the furnishings and many of his personal belongings. Oh mon Dieu!
Johnny acquired the property in 2001. It was a family home for Johnny, his former partner Vanessa Paradis, and their two children, Lily-Rose and Jack. The grounds ooze old-world charm, romance, and idyllic privacy. Not a bad place to get away from it all and hang with your wife and kids between movie shoots!
Would you be happy living in a rural village, or would you miss the bright lights and big city?
