When we love someone so much (and we also love tattoos), it makes perfect sense to get inked to show your devotion. Sure, it's risky, but so is just about everything in life. Why not just take that risk for the person you love?
Many celebrities have done just that. Some get names, while others opt for a symbol of their love. Some are still together, and many have broken up. Yet, the tattoo (or the scars left from it) remain.

When Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were married in 2008, Nick showed his devotion for his wife by getting her name tattooed across his back. After the divorce, he had it covered up with a massive backpiece.
Melanie Griffith
I absolutely loved Melanie Griffith's tattoo for Antonio Banderas. It was so sweet. But in the wake of the couple's split, the actress and mom of Dakota Johnson is in the process of having it lasered off.
Justin Bieber
Many believed that the woman tattooed on Justin Bieber's arm was Selena Gomez. Sure does look like her. Even though they are no longer together (hopefully for good), the Biebs hasn't covered it up with anything.
Tori Spelling
Tori Spelling is truly a romantic. She has her husband Dean McDermott's wedding vows tattooed on her rib cage. It reads: "Journey with me my love and I promise you my heart and I promise you my soul for my bounty is as boundless as the sea and my love as deep; the more I give to thee, the more I have, for both are infinite."

Back when Angelina Jolie was wild and reckless, she tattooed her then-love Billy Bob's name on her arm. Wow, these two were rabid for each other.

Eva Longoria had three love tattoos for her ex, NBA player Tony Parker. This one on her wrist is their wedding date. She also had his number on her neck and his initials in a private location. They have all been lasered off.
Marc Anthony
Marc Anthony once had "Jennifer" tattooed on his wrist — as in Jennifer Lopez, of course. The couple divorced, and so Marc called a tattoo artist to do a cover-up.

David Beckham loves his wife Victoria. A lot. This we know. He has an image of her tattooed on him, along with her name in Sanskrit and English. Now that's sexy.
Kaley Cuoco Sweeting
So sweeting — I mean sweet! Kaley Cuoco got her wedding date to Ryan Sweeting tattooed on her upper back. The date 12/31/13 is in Roman numerals.

In happier times, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom showed their love for each other by getting the other's initials tattooed on their hands. Khloe has "LO" and Lamar has "KO."

A long, long time ago, Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder were the "it" couple of the moment. I loved them together. Johnny did, too, and so he got "Winona Forever" tattooed on his arm. They broke up, and he changed it to read: "Wino Forever." Quite pirate-y!
Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green
The longtime couple must not buy into the idea that getting ink to express your love automatically sets you up for a split. Brian has Megan's name above his heart; Megan has Brian tattooed on her bikini line.
Katy Perry
Although they aren't exactly on speaking terms anymore, exes Katy Perry and Russell Brand still have matching tattoos. Showcased on the inside of both Katy's and Russell's arms, the tattoo means "Go with the flow" in Sanskrit.
Russell Brand
Katy and Russell got engaged and were married in India in a Hindu ceremony. Sanskrit is the ancient language of that country, giving their tattoo an even deeper meaning.

Even though they are no longer together, Amber Rose has a very visible tattoo of her ex Wiz Khalifa on her arm. She says she has no intention on removing it unless she ends up married to someone else who has a problem with it. Wiz and Rose have a son together, and when he sees it, he sees his dad. I can understand why she's in no rush to remove it.
Rob Kardashian
Once upon a time, Rob Kardashian and Adrienne Bailon were dating and in love. So much so that they got each other's full names tattooed on themselves. Adrienne had Rob's name tattooed on her behind; Rob got hers on his rib cage. Then, they broke up. Adrienne has since has hers removed, but rumor has it Rob's tattoo is still there.
