Some fans just read the Harry Potter series, while true devotees get quotes, symbols, and images from the books inked all over their bodies.
These unique tattoos represent all seven of the books and show the true dedication (for a lifetime!) that some people have to this magical wizarding world.

The Golden Snitch
This creative foot tattoo celebrates the Golden Snitch — a tiny winged ball that flies around during everyone's favorite game, Quidditch. In Harry's role as the seeker, it's his job to catch the Snitch to win the game. This one may be the hardest of all to find: It's visible only during sandal season.
Harry Potter's Stag
This thigh tattoo beautifully unites some of the most meaningful symbols associated with Harry. Harry's patronus — a stag that protects him — has the symbol of the Deathly Hallows on its forehead and is in front of a lily, representing Harry's mom, Lily. At the very front is Hermione's time turner, which allowed her, Harry, and Ron to time-travel. In the back is a Golden Snitch to represent Quidditch, a wizarding sport played on broomsticks. Masterful.
Sign of the Deathly Hallows
The Sign of the Deathly Hallows is a mark that represents three objects that, if united, can make someone the "Master of Death." Sexy!
The Marauder's Map
Like its inspiration — the magical Marauder's Map of Hogwarts — this tattoo, placed on a thigh, promises, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." Clearly!

Dementors Be Gone!
Dementors are dark creatures that feed off human happiness and can consume someone's soul. In this tattooed scene, Harry is using a Patronus Charm as a shield to fight them off. Only thing missing? Chocolate.
Ode to Hedwig
In the wizarding world, owls can be companions — and also deliver mail. This one nicely captures the mystery and beauty of Hedwig, Harry's own bird of prey.
The Last Enemy
When Harry visits his parents' grave in Godric's Hollow, he discovers that their tombstone is inscribed with the words, "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death," which is a bible verse found in 1 Corinthians 15:26. Doubly memorable.
Until the Very End
Right before Harry believed he was about to die by facing Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest, he spoke to his parents through the Resurrection Stone — one of the Deathly Hallows. He asked them to stay with him. His father, James, replied that they would be with him "until the very end." One of the series' most touching moments makes for a simple, graceful tattoo.

Mirror of Erised
The Mirror of Erised shows people their deepest desires (Erised is desire spelled backwards). After Harry discovers the mirror, he comes back nightly to see himself reunited with his parents in the reflection. When Dumbledore discovers him looking into it, he tells him, "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." Wise words that are more than skin deep.
The Patronus and Deathly Hallows Symbol
This genius tattoo shows Harry casting his patronus, but the colorful elements of the scene make up the Sign of the Deathly Hallows.
Fawkes the Phoenix
Dumbledore's ally, Fawkes, turns to ash every night and is then reborn. The powerful bird is the ultimate symbol of rebirth.
Harry's Glasses and Scar
Harry is best known for his round glasses and lightning-bolt scar. This simple foot tattoo shows the wearer's love for Harry Potter without being too showy.

The Dark Mark
The Dark Mark is a skull-and-serpent symbol of Voldemort and his murderous Death Eaters. Someone wanting one on their arm is a bit scary but it's still a cool tattoo.
'Sorcerer's Stone' Cover
One fan loves Harry Potter so much, she got the cover art from the first book tattooed on her arm. Now that's dedication.
That Flighty Temptress
This shoulder tattoo immortalizes what Dumbledore said to Harry right before they set out to find one of Voldemort's horcruxes: "Let us step into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure." Words to travel by.
Skull and Serpent
This fresh take on the Dark Mark that Death Eaters sport shows a skull over a serpent's head. Effectively scary.

Winged Key
When Harry and his friends were trying to retrieve the Sorcerer's Stone, they entered a chamber full of winged keys. Only one of the keys would be able to unlock the door. Harry had to use his Quidditch skills to catch the right one.
Expecto Kitty Cat!
Who wouldn't want their patronus to be a cute cat? This forearm tattoo uses the spell to summon a sparkly feline friend.
Always
When Dumbledore asks Severus Snape if he loves Lily Potter "after all this time," Snape simply replies "always." In this tattoo, the first "a" doubles as the Sign of the Deathly Hallows.
Ravenclaw Crest
This Ravenclaw crest tattoo represents the Hogwarts house that values learning, wit, wisdom, and intellect. Though most fans would probably want to be a courageous Gryffyndor like Harry, the brainiacs among us lean Ravenclaw.
