Dakota Johnson slayed at the How to Be Single premiere in her flowy Saint Laurent gown that gave off major boho-meets-rock-n-roll (think Stevie Nicks if she was into neutral tones). Celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff created Dakota's beauty look, and let's just say she killed it.
To complement the stunning frock, Pati say she chose a "flash of silver metallic and glitter on the center of the lid, surrounded by a matte, camel tone to give the eyes a smoky shape. The cheeks were slightly flushed with a lot of highlight on the tops of cheekbones to make the skin really radiant."
Pati, who relied heavily on her Laura Mercier and Vita Liberata faves to complete the look, shares her process so you can replicate Dakota's makeup at home.

About Face
To create the perfect canvas on which to work, Pati used a foundation brush to apply Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation in Dune ($48, Laura Mercier) on the center of Dakota's face.
Next, she applied Vita Liberata Body Blur in Fair ($45, Vita Liberata) to give the actress what amounts to a real-life Instagram filter. Pati applied the luminizing lotion on the high bones of the face, really focusing on the tops of the cheekbones.
Pati swirled just a touch of Laura Mercier Creme Cheek Colour in Praline ($26, Laura Mercier) onto the apples of the cheeks, then dusted a light coat of Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder ($37, Laura Mercier) all over the face to set and prolong the wear of her makeup. To warm up Dakota's cheeks, she used Vita Liberata Self Tan Mineral Bronzer in Sunkissed ($55, Vita Liberata). "I used this as a very sheer healthy idea of warmth focusing on the area the sun would touch and slight contour," says Pati.
Eye on Color
We're obsessed with Dakota's glittery eye look. Pati created a contour on the crease of the lid and the under eye area using Laura Mercier Matte Eye Colour in Cafe Au Lait ($25, Laura Mercier). "This tone is harmonious with the dress and gives contour to the eyes, but is not a hard or harsh shade," she says.
Next, Pati applied a swipe of Diorshow Fusion Mono Cream Shadow in Etoile ($31, Sephora) across the center of the lids and topped with Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Midnight Cowboy ($20, Sephora), which really makes the eye pop.
For the lashes Pati added a couple of coats of Laura Mercier Extra Lash Sculpting Mascara in Black Onyx ($25, Laura Mercier).
Get Lippy
Pati wanted to keep Dakota's pout super simple so it wouldn't compete with the eyes. She first applied Laura Mercier Infusion De Rose Lip Balm ($24, Laura Mercier) on Dakota’s lips to provide added hydration. Then, she used Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Hazelnut Tea ($23, Laura Mercier) to define and fill in the lips. For the finishing touch, she added Laura Mercier Sheer Lip Colour in Nude Lips ($25, Laura Mercier) on top.
