Colored Pencil Nails Are a Thing & They Actually Work

We have seen tons of outlandish and dramatic nail art — everything from sonogram nails to blinking eyes to the ever-insane corkscrew nails. No matter how creative these nail technicians get, there is always something else to be made. This new over-the-top manicure showing up online is definitely a memorable one!

Behold, the latest insane manicure sweeping the Internet: colored pencil nails!

The bizarre design was created at Russian nail art studio Nail Sunny.

A scroll through the Nail Sunny Instagram page shows a ton of unique and crazy nail art from reptile nails, to a braces design, to using real bugs!

And yes, the Crayola-inspired nails actually work.

The nail technician started with a base paint of the bright colors. Then used a tan polish on the tip to look like the wooden part of a pencil. After that, the tech really went above and beyond. The nail tech cut down real colored pencils with a knife, removed the lead, and glued them to the tips of the nails!
