This Couple Spent $25,000 on an Elaborate ‘Jurassic Park’ Wedding

The Jurassic Park franchise has acquired a massive fan following over the years, but Courtney and Billy McMillion from Sturtevant, Wisconsin, may just be the biggest fans we've ever seen. The couple recently married and their wedding was FULL of dinosaurs — which ended up taking 18 months of planning and costing them about $25,000!

Courtney has loved the films since she was a child.

Courtney told The Daily Mail, "It was more so me who always loved Jurassic Park. I remember watching it when I was small and that's when I first fell in love with it."

When the first film was released, Billy went to see it with Courtney, but they were just friends. They eventually started dating in October of 2013.

Courtney told Daily Mail that they "loved staying in and watching movies together."

"We would regularly watch Jurassic Park or it would coincidentally be on TV. It sort of became our thing. We would go to dinosaur museums and exhibits on dates," she said.

"I used to joke that our wedding should be Jurassic Park themed and after we got engaged, I started to think, why not?" Courtney said.

One of her biggest highlights of the wedding was arriving to the ceremony in a Jurassic-themed Jeep Wrangler.

Courtney said:

"I've always wanted a Jeep Wrangler like in Jurassic Park so a couple of years ago I joined this group on Facebook called Jurassic Park Motors, where fans renovate jeeps to look like those in the movie. I really wanted to feature one of these jeeps in the wedding and I just asked in the group if anyone wanted to come. One man, JurassicPark09, who's real name is Adam, drove all the way from Iowa to help us. He was so dedicated and it really made our day."

The wedding photographer, Cassandra Spiegelhoff, expertly photoshopped dinosaurs into some of the bridal party shots.

Even Courtney's bouquet had a dinosaur print on it.

The indoor venue, where the reception was held, was even more decked out than the actual ceremony.

The Landings 1841 in Burlington, Wisconsin, was full of dinosaur figurines and greenery.

Guests even had "park passes" to wear.

And can we just talk about this doughnut wall for a second?!

Yum!

And, as if things couldn't get any better, there were even inflatable dinosaurs on the dance floor!

They really did an awesome of job of turning a pretty outrageous theme into an elegant, fun, and unforgettable wedding day.

"The Jurassic Park theme could have been so lame but it wasn't tacky or cheap," the photographer said. "It was so elegant. She really nailed it.

"It was amazing. You could tell it was the best day of their life."

Congrats Courtney and Billy!
