When trying to decide what to be for Halloween, there are a ton of different options and directions to go in. There are sexy costumes, Disney costumes, best friend costumes, family costumes, couples costumes, and so much more! Some people dress like their favorite celebrity, some do incredibly horrifying looks, and some create a whole costume out of a makeup look. No matter what one's style is, Halloween is the one time of year when we get to be someone — or something — totally crazy, scary, exciting, funny, or all of the above. And for those who want to show off their sense of humor, consider getting creative and doing a pun costume!
Pun costumes are funny, clever, and will make people go "Ohhhh!" They are definitely a good conversation starter for a Halloween party as well. People have thought of so many different clever ideas and we definitely get a kick out of these! They may be some of the best Halloween costumes to come across! CHICKEN STRIP
This chicken strip costume totally won Halloween. Not only is she dressed as a "sexy chicken" but she also taped on some dollar bills to drive it home.
SWEET DREAMS
This Instagram user handmade this fun costume. The "sweet dreams" dress uses candy for the "sweet" and a moon and stars for the "dreams."
ICE, ICE, BABY
This is an adorable punny costume for a family. Mom and dad are "ice, ice" and then there is baby!
DUNKIN' DONUTS
For a clever Dunkin' Donuts costume, this girl dressed as a basketball player and put a donut floaty around her. Too good!
BEYONCE
Beyonce fans will surely get a kick out of this one. She is dressed as a bumble bee, but her shirt says "Yonce."
"WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS ..."
This is a cute play on the phrase "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." This woman is wearing a simple shirt that says "life" and carrying a bowl of lemons.
SUGAR MAMA
This one is so clever and funny. For her sugar mama costume, she has on a baby carrier with sugar in it and and she's holding a bottle.
FRENCH TOAST
This punny costume is kind of a classic. For a French toast costume all that is needed is a cute French-inspired outfit and a picture of toast or an actual piece of toast.
DEVILED EGG
Another good food pun! She is dressed like a devil, except with an egg attached to the front.
"OH DEER!"
This is a cute word phrase costume. This simple deer look took a punny turn simply by adding "OH!" to the front of it.

This woman took a bunch of social media icons and attached them to her top. Then, she added some wings and antennas to become the ultimate "social butterfly."

50 SHADES OF GREY
One doesn't have to be a fan of 50 Shades of Grey to see the humor in this one (although we're sure fans will love it). She took 50 different swatches of grey paint and creatively turned them into handcuffs and a dapper tie and headpiece.
TACO BELL
This Taco Bell dress combines tacos with the Disney princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast. This costume had to have taken a lot of work to create, but it turned out so amazing! #Tacos4Life.
BAG OF M&MS
This baby is dressed in an actual bag with pictures of rapper Eminem all over it. That makes for one epic bag of M&Ms!
