20 Body Lotions & Cleansers for Silky Smooth Arms & Legs

Skin takes a real hit during the winter months. The dry, cold air often leads to dry, cracked skin and lathering up on the body lotion is super important, especially on the arms and legs. There's tons of winter skin remedies to try. But just because the weather gets warmer doesn't mean our skin is necessarily safe. Just like a moisturizer is important all year long against the outside elements, the same is true for nourishing the rest of our bodies. It's important not to neglect skin in the summer or underestimate the sun's UV-rays. The sun can dry out skin and sunburn, eczema, and other skin conditions can rage during this time. Whether a person is in their 20s, 30s, 40s, or beyond, it's important to have skin care products ready to go.

Luckily, there's a ton of amazing skin care products on the market that are free from harsh ingredients and safe for sensitive skin. Many are recommended by dermatologists and work to combat the dry skin on arms and legs with nourishing ingredients. Hyaluronic acid and natural oils are often recommended. Of course, first rule of thumb is to always wear sunscreen, but to keep skin even safer from the sun, wind, and hot weather, it's vital to keep the moisture in the skin from evaporating.

Some lotions we included also relieve dry skin from sunburn or simply weathering the summer elements. Because accidents happen and there should be products that don't just prevent and protect but those that soothe, too. There's over-the-counter options like CeraVe, Aveeno, and Neutrogena, as well as products available directly from skin care retailers like Fresh or Lush. What matters is finding the best body lotion for one's skin and being diligent about making it part of a routine. This can mean right after showering in the morning, by way of an overnight cream, or both! Take a look at the options below and stock up before things get heated.
