As the Black Lives Matter movement continues to receive much-deserved support on social media, many are asking themselves what they can do at home to do their part. One way to be an advocate is to support Black-owned businesses by buying directly from the source, on their Etsy pages. Not to mention that many of these products are downright gorgeous and perfect for any household. In support of BLM, Etsy highlighted some of its Black creators on the site's homepage. So, we went through and picked out some of our favorite shops we think moms will love.
Etsy has always been the place to go for handcrafted goods of any category. While we've all been stuck inside our homes for the past few months, redecorating feels like a great idea. One way to make a home feel fresh and inspired is by saying out with the old and in with the new. Pick up some new handcrafted lampshades or macrame, and donate household items that no longer spark joy, as Marie Kondo says. These Etsy shop owners are seriously talented artists and creators. The products on their pages are so unusual and cool, and vary from handmade candles to restored vintage clothing to stylish artworks and prints. Everything on Etsy is either handmade, custom, original, or vintage, so we can shop to our heart's content without feeling bad about our impact on the environment. Plus, everything feels one-of-a-kind and keeps homes feeling personal and interesting.

Pepper Palm has the most gorgeous handmade pots for every kind of plant imaginable. The ceramic pots are hand-painted with stunning desert-inspired designs. Plus, Pepper, the owner, has a few interesting wall plant hangers, one of which is made with a copper hand. Based in Nashville, Pepper creates amazing homes for those plants.

Kyra has an incredible calligraphy talent and has used it to make gorgeous stickers and custom quotes and letters. The Brooklyn-based artist also creates journals and ornaments, along with all of her custom orders. Kyra's gift tags are a perfect addition to all of those Christmas presents this year.
Stylish Sista
Another Brooklyn-based artist, Taelor Pawnell is the Stylish Sista. This creator makes hand-drawn stickers that are perfect for the body positive millennial. Taelor's love for celebrities is clear, as many of her stickers are inspired by some incredible fellow artists like Lizzo, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Ariana Grande. Plus, other designs featured include Greek symbols and fun catchphrases.
The Pink Locket
Anyone looking for fierce, metallic jewelry has come to the right place. The Pink Locket is a shop dedicated to metal modern minimalist pieces. From Atlanta, the artist Kamilah handcrafts each of the hammered metal styles, plus she creates custom jewelry as well. Jewelry pieces include necklaces, rings, earrings, and wrist cuffs, but her earring styles are the most popular.
Candice Luter Art & Home
From Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Candice Luter sells some of the most gorgeous wall hangings imaginable. Candice's designs include macrame and mirrors, handcrafted to perfection. Homes will have that enviable modern touch with one of these pieces in the living room. These accent pieces are surprisingly affordable for looking like a piece of modern art.
R-KI-TEKT
This lifestyle and accessories brand focuses on bold, vibrant colors and homemade leather goods. Kel, the designer, has a whimsical taste and used her experiences in travel to create some useful and beautiful pieces. From leather pouches to wallets and headphone holders, there is something for everyone. Plus, the T-shirts feature inspiring quotes from Black activists like poet Audre Lorde.
Bobbi Made This
Those who love bold, statement earrings will have a field day on Bobbi's Etsy page. Each of her handmade jewelry pieces is created from polymer clay and has a bold and bright color. North Carolina-based Bobbi enlists the help of her four children to package and process each of the orders, according to her bio.
Fanesha Fabre Art Store
Artist and illustrator, Fanesha Fabre crafts handmade pins, patches, and stickers. Clearly she is inspired by feminism, activism, and her life in New York as many of her pieces are influenced by those themes. One sticker reads "girl gang" and is an illustration of the female reproductive system.
Create The Culture
Krystle Collins is a talented embroidery artist who makes custom pieces, many of which have to do with Black artists. Some of her most impressive pieces are of Lauryn Hill's album art, or a portrait of Solange. The New York City-based artist crafts her work on pillows, T-shirts, and other fabric items.
Rain + Sky Home Decor
Atlanta-based artist Asia creates handmade coasters that are shaped like the continent of Africa. While each of the Africa coasters has the same shape, they are each unique in their colors and patterns. Choose from a variety including black, emerald, and zebra print. Plus, she has made extravagant custom versions based on other art pieces.
The Juno Studio
Ciara Jones, the artist from Valdosta, Georgia, creates handmade fiber art. Each piece is different, and created from lush, soft thread. She crafts plant holders, macrame wall art, earrings, essential oil diffusers, and more boho chic art. Ciara also specializes in suncatchers, which reflect light across rooms, creating little rainbow bursts everywhere.
Bespoke Binny
Each of these handmade home goods is inspired by African art. The artist, Obenewa, crafts lampshades, pillows, aprons, and more. The bright color patterns are hand sewn and delivered all the way from London. Get an entire kitchen set-up inspired by these designs.
Morning Joy Co
Justin and Jasmine Allred create custom wood designs using a laser cutter from their hometown in Fort Worth, Texas. The custom carvings range from cutting boards to wedding decorations to welcome signs. The husband and wife duo decide to create art together after the heartbreaking realization that they could not have children. "After learning that we couldn't have birth children, we had a deep desire to make something beautiful, together," the two wrote in an Instagram post.
BORiCUBi
Jolín Miranda creates artwork inspired by women who inspire her, such as Selena Quintanilla, Frida Kahlo, and more. Each of her designs can be created into earrings, stickers, air fresheners, or greeting cards. The artwork is fun and pop art-inspired. She's also created some pieces based on butterfly wings and dominoes.
Pontie Wax
These simple, minimalist candles have fresh natural scents and are made from 100% soy wax. Each candle has a logo printed on the front and comes in scents like lavender, lemongrass, teakwood, orange, and so many more.
MAW Supply
MAW stands for "Man And Woman," and is run by a hyper creative couple Norman and Rachelle Clark. The two find vintage pieces and upcycle them into something even more beautiful, all while aiming for sustainability. These two are great shoppers and curators, and have found some incredible pieces.
Kingsley Leather
UK native Kingsley Thompson is the owner of Kingsley Leather, and creates impressive handcrafted leather goods. Some of the pieces include a leather bow tie, cuff links, wallets, belts, and bookmarks. What started as a hobby in 2013, has now grown into a successful full-time business, Kingsley wrote in an Instagram post.
Lovely Earthlings
Karina Daniel Parris, the owner of Lovely Earthlings, creates funky artwork and prints it on canvas, greeting cards, and tote bags. Each of her prints feature women of all colors, shapes, and sizes. She is clearly inspired by women of color and body positivity, as well as showing women in day-to-day situations.
Random Rompers
Moms will be thrilled to find this Etsy shop that features comfy, casual, kids attire. Houston artist Krystal creates the designs in a variety of colors and styles. In August, she will release her Fall Basic collection, which includes rompers, leotards, shirts, and infant gowns. Kids can run around and play while looking cute in these adorable designs.
