Alyssa Edwards’ Drag Makeup Tutorial Is Seriously Life-Changing

If you're a fan of Rupaul's Drag Race, or Alyssa Edwards for that matter, you don't want to miss this. The drag extraordinaire just gave us the most epic step-by-step makeup transformation ever, and we're still gagging over how obsessed we are. With her Anastasia Beverly Hills collab palette in tow, she created an over-the-top eye shadow look that was everything we'd expect from a Drag Race icon.

Check it out.

Alyssa Edwards is back, everyone!

But this time, it's with Vogue for one of their infamous Beauty Secrets segments. However, instead of the traditional luxury skin-care routines we've become used to, this one is a full-on drag beatdown and it's one for the ages. Of course, the look is being hailed by Rupaul's Drag Race fans everywhere and for very good reason.

And boy, does she transform.

After a little light under-eye masking and moisturizing, Edwards' face was all ready to be caked down in makeup, and seeing as this is the drag star's first look with Vogue, we knew that it was about to be a super-elaborate look that would be one to remember.

Of course, her Anastasia Beverly Hills palette was included.

"I love this palette. Can't use it for daytime, but it's so colorful. It just gives off happy feelings," someone wrote in a master Reddit thread talking about the tutorial. The bright hues were perfect for the bigger-than-life eye shadow look.

She held nothing back.

With an always heavy hand, Edwards spread shades of purple and bright pink all across her eye and onto her upper lid. And for that under liner? Lots of the same shadows to complement the rest of the look. And have no fear, the fallout and seemingly free-handed application was all a part of her master plan for drag magic.

It's almost like her looks are getting even more dramatic.

"I feel like her makeup has gotten… more drag-y? A lot of the queens have started to do more feminine/realistic-looking makeup, but I think hers has become more intense and over-the-top since S8 hahaha," a Drag Race fan commented on the makeup change. And seeing as we always live for the drama, the extraness is always appreciated.

And of course, the look would be nothing without lashes.

"Tbh with these drag makeup videos I always try to pick out when the illusion starts working for me and I don't see their non-drag self anymore, and it generally tends to be the big-a** lashes! I just imagine how heavy they must be lol," another comment read about the massive minks that took the look to new heights.

Oh, and about that wig.

No drag look is complete without a wig — and this rainbow unit was it, hunny. The custom multicolored Hollywood hair completely tied the look together. The gorge wig has us wondering where we could get our hands on something just like it.
