Beauty lovers, prepare yourselves for yet another Anastasia Beverly Hills launch! Yes, we know the cult-favorite brand is already out to get our eyebrow game together with the announcement of the new Dipbrow Gels, but Norvina (the brand's president) is making a fresh and solid case to toss our coins yet again.
After successful launches of the Sultry, Norvina, and Soft Glam palettes in 2018, Anastasia Beverly Hills announced its first palette release of 2019, and this one is all about those summer vacay vibes!
Say hello to the very colorful and seemingly super-pigmented Riviera palette!
The Riviera palette features seven mattes and seven shimmers in a nice mix of bold and bright shades.
Finally, Anastasia Beverly Hills will bless the people with the bright, playful colors they've been asking for!
"I learn so much from you guys. I listen to everything you say and I take it to heart, good or bad," Norvina confirmed on Twitter. "The important part is that I’m always learning! I never feel that I’m above feedback. You help steer my focus to feed my creativity and to deliver products that you want to see."
Unfortunately, the palette is launching product leaks, allegedly done by Sephora store employees. Critics were accusing Norvina of being in on the leaks, which she recently addressed on Twitter.
"I feel ridiculous having to prove I’m genuine and honest and don’t pull PR stunts," she wrote. "I’d like to think it’s evident, but this is social media, so I’m sharing just one of the DM’s alerting me of a leak. I’d post more but they have pictures of my product that we have not announced."
Norvina isn't new to the ABH palettes leaking against her wishes. Never forget the Soft Glam palette fiasco.
The leak of the Soft Glam palette ($42, Sephora) really hurt her feelings. She dragged the Kicks By Sweden brand to hell and back for leaking the palette, which she felt was not only disrespectful to her fans but also because it was a tribute to her mom and the creator of Anastasia Beverly Hills, Anastasia Soare.
Thankfully, Norvina doesn't seem to be letting leakers rain on her parade with the Riviera release.
"I absolutely love her so much. RIVIERA is a getaway in a palette," Norvina shared on her Instagram page. "I want you to open it up and feel the breeze. OK, that sounds cheesy, but you get what I mean. 2019 is a creative evolution for me as a creator. I feel comfortable to grow and supported by all of you guys to show you more of me. I love you all so much. Thank you for this incredible journey."
Each shade name is associated with travel, relaxation, and basically living our best boujee lives!
The glittery teal Seychelles shade and the hot Bahamas pink are especially catching my eye as they set this release apart from the previous palettes.
And Riviera doesn't just have drool-worthy swatches; it also delivers seriously stunning looks.
This beautiful beat is blended with the Estate, Palm, and Seychelles shadows.
Snatch all of the wigs, Riviera!
From the all-glitter look made with the Mediterranean shade to the Inheritance hue meant to have us all dripping in gold — be prepared to serve luxury vibes with every single blend!
FUN FACT: According to Norvina, the location for that Riviera launch video has been blessed by the spirit of Beyoncé.
"I scouted the RIVIERA location with my team, the goal was to find a French Riviera vibe, which isn’t easy on the West Coast," she wrote on Twitter. "I only realized when I walked in that this was the location that queen @Beyonce filmed her 'Haunted' music video."
Sigh. It doesn't get anymore luxury than that, my friends.
Of course, hardcore fans are already comparing Riviera to the '80s Baby palette ($25, Pinky Rose Cosmetics).
Honestly, I immediately thought of the Pinky Rose Cosmetics palette when I got my first glance of Riviera. After looking closer and comparing the shades, they really aren't the same. The palette by Pinky Rose Cosmetics has more neon colors and features warmer red, pink, and orange tones.
Some shadows that are similar in color (like the Dapper from '80s Baby and Cannes from Riviera) do not even have the same finish. Both palettes also have colors that are not in the other at all. For '80s Baby, that's Fuerte, Care Bear, Amor, and Caliente. A few Riviera colors that aren't in '80s Baby are Palermo, Monte Carlo, and Bahamas.
I think all we're seeing is palettes with the same shapes and bright colors.
Dupe talk aside, fans still can't seem to contain their excitement for this new Anastasia Beverly Hills release.
"Is the new Riviera eye shadow palette by ABH Cosmetics going to be mine? Yes tf it is," one fan wrote.
In their book, Norvina has another hit on her hand, and it's not even available for purchase yet.
"A bish knows how to create a palette," gushed one beauty lover.
Loyal Anastasia Beverly Hills customers seem to really appreciate that Norvina didn't add yet another neutral palette to the market.
"I am so stoked to see @ABHcosmetics step out of their norm for the #rivierapalette it’s so beautiful! I can’t wait to pick [it] up @norvina1 amazing job girlie," a fan wrote.
Norvina also recommends that you pair the palette with another recently released Anastasia Beverly Hills product.
"Riviera pairs amazing with the LOVE glitters," Norvina tipped on Twitter. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Loose Glitter Pigments ($15, Sephora) dropped in celebration of Valentine's Day, but offer enough colors to definitely be worn year-round.
And Anastasia Beverly Hills isn't making us wait around too long! The summer-getaway-inspired Riviera palette is available on March 4!

That's next Monday! The palette, along with the Dipbrow gels, hit the Anastasia Beverly Hills website on March 4, but if you want to snag them in person, then they hit stores on March 7.
Who's ready for a getaway in a palette?!
