Body hair is fully accepted on men. On their legs, chest, armpits, face, or what-have-you — it doesn't matter. Their hair is no big deal. Women, on the other hand, are expected to shave every last bit and keep up with it regularly, no stubble allowed. Yes, it's exhausting (and totally unnecessary), which it why so many celebrities, influencers, and everyday gals are ditching the razor for a more natural look.
Let's start with a few OG armpit trailblazers. First up: Sophia Loren.

The Italian actress often opted for a hairy underarm in photo shoots.
Madonna also likes going au natural.

Then there's Penelope Cruz, who never shied away from this look.

These ladies clearly started a revolution for everyone to come.

Ericka Hart's posts aren't only inspiring because of body hair, but because of her ongoing activism for cancer survivors.
Hairy pits seems to be the norm for people like Miley Cyrus.

Bella Thorne, too.

People were particularly upset with Paris Jackson's unshaved armpits.

"I didn’t realize that people were going to get so upset over my armpit hair, I didn’t realize that was such an issue. It is so funny," she said after sharing a photo in her natural state.
And yet, women are still vowing to do as they please.

Even Drew Barrymore circa '96 was doing it.

Lena Dunham is also a big advocate for a natural underarm.

Let it all hang out. You won't regret it.

If Beyoncé can be confident enough to rock this tiny amount of hair, you can, too.

Halsey found a way to clap back at a troll who criticized her subtle armpit hair.

"Bachelorette" star Bekah Martinez most recently made headlines for going without the razor.

Soon enough, EVERYONE will feel comfortable leaving their underarm hair grown out — maybe even comfortable enough to dye it.
